Toronto (3-2) vs. Dallas (3-2) When: Saturday November 7th, 2009 @ 8:30PM Where: American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas TV/Radio: The SCORE, FAN590 STARTING LINEUPS Jose Calderon - DeMar DeRozan - Hedo Turkoglu - Chris Bosh - Andrea Bargnani Jason Kidd - Rodrigue Beaubois - Shawn Marion - Dirk Nowitzki - Erick Dampier KEY MATCHUP Chris Bosh vs. Dirk Nowitzki Chris Bosh has been playing at an entirely different level to kick off this season. Regardless of what you think has motivated him (contract year, frustration from last season, battered reputation), it's clear that he's elevated his game. The added muscle has helped him outmuscle larger big-men, he's looking more comfortable in the low-post area, and he's playing with a level of focus and determination that is intimidating. The Raptors were lucky enough to give their starters a significant rest towards the end of the New Orleans game. And they're going to need Bosh to take advantage of that tonight. The Raptors have the offensive firepower and defensive scheme to beat the Mavericks. But in the event that they're not executing properly (very possible), Toronto is going to need Bosh to drive the ball and get easy points at the free throw line. If he can really take it at Nowitzki and wear him down on the defensive end, the Raptors have a great chance of winning their 2nd game in a row.
Ms.Dawson is super hot! Just like the Raptors 3 point shooting! HELLO! hope Bargs can have a big game against the man he was suppose to be.
Jason Terry scares me. The guy can go off any given night and playing against the Raptors "fantastic" perimeter defense this could be one of those nights.
I think I've seen Bargnani crash the offensive boards more in the past 3 games than I did all of last season.
Have those Huskies jerseys hit the internet? I'm curious to see what they look like. If Bosh re-signs I wouldn't mind getting one of his.
I'm absolutely loving Bargnani's defense on Nowitzki. I don't think I've seen Dirk score on him when they're matched up in a one-on-one situation.
I'd get a DeRozan one personally. But I tihnk there is a pic of Hedo's bobblehead with it on since that night is his bobblehead night.
jack is atrocious tonight, we're kinda see why the blazer fans ridicule him. and maybe we need to scratch the notion of jack starting ahed of caledron. btw, i think a great way to mitigate jack's lack of offensive creativity is to always play him alongside hedo and allow hedo to assume the primary ball handling duties.
I'm happy with the way the two bigs are playing. Hedo needs the ball alot more. Bargnani-Bosh-Hedo-Belinelli-Wright. Works for me. DeRozan for Wright could work too.
bosh is bringing awesomeness all the time. u can see that the dude has made a conscious effort not to take jumpers. i wonder if he can sustain this throughout an entire season and i only ask because he has done this before only to see his play regress after november.
dude, are we watching the same game? dirk is torching bargs, i know he's trying but i would try my arse off as well, doesnt mean i would have realistic shot of stopping him though. i personally believe the best to defend him is with physical bigs who have good foot speed like udonis haslem and kenyon martin who have historically given him problems.
He's killing the Raps off pick-and-rolls or off-the-ball picks, when the Raps are scrambling to rotate. When he has the ball in iso situations? Bargs has done an excellent job on him.
We've bricked a lot of open shots for sure, but we need to keep feeding it to our bigs. Bosh carried us when we were leading the game and Bargs was posting up to no avail towards the end. Bosh has been a beast underneath the basket.
