    I personally think the Lakers would way over value the aged bigman, wouldnt send him to us because we are too good and it would takeaway from aldridges touches. Which everybody knows right now would not be the best idea;

I'm guessing they land Durant or LeBron.

If you meant for Portland, it would take about 20 million in salaries, which would pretty much decimate the bench, or take a couple starters (if they didn't trade LaMarcus).

Pretty much, the only trade Portland could do (because they're NOT trading LaMarcus, Damian or Batum, and CAN'T trade Lopez, Robinson or Williams) is this one.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=km5ydda

And that would be a monumental failure on Portlands end. Like, historically stupid. Like, make the 5 players for Kiki trade sound brilliant by comparison.

Impossible for us i know. But what do you think they could get for the guy and who would be willing to go after him in this stage of his career?

I think they're stuck with him, or they'll have to take back someone who has a horrible contract and a team is desperate to get out from under.

    IOW, I have no idea.

Gasol is not realistic right now. He makes WAY too much money. Portland doesn't have enough large contracts to make a trade even realistic. It would likely take Batum, Matthews, AND someone else to match up the contracts.

Why would he come off the bench?

With his ginormous contract, what team could trade for him and still be a contender? Certainly not Portland.

If he'd like to play for a contender, I'd try to get him as a free agent. Not that we'd have much to offer in the way of money.

What might he be worth when his current contract is up?

The Lakers are better off just letting his contract expire.

The only team I could see trading for Gasol is the Raps with a deal like DeRozen and Lowery for him.

You should be banned from this message board for suggesting Gasol as a Blazer.

I hope there is no trade. Too much fun watching this dysfunctional Flakers franchise. Too. Much. Fun.

Just throwing the topic out for discussion. He makes wy too much money to even think of landing the guy. Just wanted thoughts of possible destinations and if hes even worth any teams time. I DO NOT WANT GASOL ON THE BLAZERS. Get your panties out of a bunch.

D'Antoni said, "The message is the same to everybody -- just play hard and we'll figure it out," D'Antoni added. "If you don't play hard, it's hard to figure out because you don't know what works and what doesn't."

The best quote by D'Antoni is, "That's a classic: 'Well, I don't know what I'm supposed to do.' Well, you don't have trouble getting up to the pay stub line."

lol. It doesn't get much better than watching the Lakers melt down.

God I hope you're just kidding here, and I'm blind to it.

Who are you saying would be a fair trade for a "HOF Player" (on the tail end of his HOF production)?

And just so we're clear about this and you can't back out, we're talking about Pau Gasol here, not some other HOF player that isn't in the tail end of his career.

Because his HOF career isn't what he's producing right now, and right now is when they'd trade for him. And at the end of this season, chances are he'll either sign somewhere else OR continue dropping in production.

So yeah, lol, let's see how much garbage they're willing to give up for a player who is owed almost 20 million this year, is producing at arguably his worst overall rate AND wouldn't make the team any better at the cost you're seemingly implying it should be argued to trade for him.

    Well played.
