I'll go with chalk, Carolina over Florida in the East and Colorado over Calgary out West, with Colorado over the Hurricanes in 6.
I am rooting for Boston also. If we beat the Pens I rather play Boston. Overall I like Colorado and Carolina in the SCF. I also think Minnesota can make a run. The winner of the round 2 series between Colorado and Minnesota wins the Cup. I will also say Toronto beats TB in 7 to finally win a series. Almost everyone picking TB, but I don't think they are as good this year, and Toronto is due.
Yeah i think Toronto beats Tampa too. Can Raanta or the Russian kid keep Carolina in there until Andersen comes back? St. Louis and the Wild should be a great series, hopefully the Blues win.
I think TB is in a lot of trouble. They are not as good as they have been, and Toronto is on a mission. Game 2 will be very telling in that series. I also never understood why so many picked Boston. I just don't see them making that a long series against the Canes. I'd say 5, could go 6, but I do not see a 7th game in that one. Still think the Blues/Wild series will be a good one, 7 games.
Carolina is good. I think they are going to the SCF. With Florida, Toronto, and Tampa all on the other side of the East bracket, it sets up well for them. Beat Boston and Pitt or NYR and they are in the ECF and only face one Atlantic team.
Watching the Bruins if they were smart they would blow this thing up in the off-season and rebuild completely. I would trade Pastrnak and Marchand. Let Bergeron walk. They are slow and are not competitive in the playoffs.
With TB's beating Toronto right now, 3 series through 4 games are all tied 2-2. Hopefully we can add another tomorrow night, and good chance you could get 6 series tied at 2.
Four series tied 2-2. Rangers, Panthers, Flames try to add to that number tonight, hopefully the Rangers do.
Bruins/Canes series back to "normal" in Carolina. And while the Devs continue to suck, they are a lucky organization man. Again move up in the draft lottery to # 2. It's the third time in the past six years the Devs will have selected first or second overall. Amazing. At some point they almost have to be good again.
Can Toronto finally get over the hump, eliminating the 2x defending champ, and will McDavid endure yet another early exit and add to speculation that he eventually will want out of there? Interesting night.
I liked Toronto and think they win in 7 still. Edmonton is another team that at some point needs to add a goalie or they will continue to fail. 40 year-old Mike Smith isn't going to cut it.
Round 1 and three game 7's already set - have to love the NHL playoffs. Will the Rangers, Caps, and Stars add to that number...
