I think it was a good trade for us. I think his skill set a lot ways better than Mattews.

He'd be awesome if Aldridge decided to stay.

I think he's alright. He does brings some things Mathews didn't but I wouldn't go that far.

THE biggest/best part of the deal though was getting Vonleh:wink:

    Re
Really how many times did Mattews take someone off the ball without losing it. Both players can post both play good defense and Mattews better at the 3 ball but Henderson better at the mid range game. Both decent free throw shooters. Henderson better on the break. So I have to give advantage Henderson.

Hendo is also better on the drive and finish IMO
    BUT
Wes brought things to the court that cant be measured, not sure that Hendo will have that type of effect on the players around him like Wes has.

I agree Wes was the heart of the blazer last year he went down so did the blazer that why I question LMA leadership ability and truthfully I was not very sad when he left but I am excited about this team. For the reason they all play above the rim last year team play below the rim.

It definitely requires a change in our offense (he's really weak from long range outside of a couple of favorite spots), but his slashing is better than Wes's slashing.

Wes average 15.9 PTs a game that shooting mostly 3pt shot Henderson ave 12.9 without constant min. But there pretty close my thought is I think Henderson can match Wes numbers and me I don't care how he gets them if he has score more 2 PTs so be it I don't fall love with strictly 3 PTs shooters. But I enjoy a player that more balance and think is more balance then Wes.

Compare their numbers. Per 100 possessions, they take the same number of shots, but Wes is significantly more efficient, making a higher percentage, along with making more 3's. I understand your contention that Henderson can match Wes' numbers, but to date he hasn't actually shown that.

I don't compare those numbers what I compare how many mins each guy play and Mattews play a lot more mins than Henderson did and still only average 3 more points game I believe if he would have play the same amount of mins he would at least average as much or more than Mattews.

Not a fair assessment. Jack is right. Wes was able to get into the flow with this offense and had more minutes. Wes had WAY more to work with than Gerald did.

No, not at all. Henderson has gotten 33mpg before; his TS% never approached Wes'. The minutes and "flow" are not the issue. Wes is simply a more efficient offensive player then Hendo, no matter how you look at the numbers.

Agree. Wes had a lower usage percentage in comparison to Henderson in each of the last 4 seasons while remaining, as you note, a more efficient offensive player.

I guess will see what Henderson does in a blazer uniform in pace that might suit him better then at Cha. I am not downing Wes don't get me wrong I thought he very good player. I am saying I think henderson can score as much in blazer uniform as Wes did and don't have anything to with each other stat because 15 PTs is 15 PTs and I don't care how they score them.

I couldn't possibly disagree with this sentiment more.
