Phil Gosselin has had an up-and-down year. He began 2015 as a prospect with the Atlanta Braves, then fractured his left thumb in May. While injured, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in June. Since his arrival in the desert, Gosselin, who turns 27 next week, has dealt with injury rehab before being activated on Aug. 31. Finally back in uniform, he made the most of an opportunity he was given in the bottom of the 11th inning Tuesday night. Brought in to pinch hit, Gosselin singled in the winning run after Colorado reliever Brooks Brown walked the bases loaded in the 11th as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Rockies 4-3 Tuesday night.
