Nearly a year is too long to wait. A fight that didn't make sense now doesn't have to happen.

Wouldn't be surprised if Silva/GSP is in the works (again).

GSP/Bisping was a bullshit fight from the beginning. The McGregor Effect run amok. What's the saying, it makes dollars but not sense?

When GSP was off he was talking about coming back not for the title but to sea-mint is leg-a-sea. He saw the opportunity to get a second divisional title and went for it. Bisping was insulted (which is his natural state of being these days) but figured the fight would make more money than the other options so rolled with it. The trashing he's endured was semi-justified because of that but it's not like the guy hasn't fought the best during his career. It's the UFC fucking around not him.

The legacy fight for GSP is against Silva. I don't think there is much else out there for him. He needs to fight HOF guys of which there are very few at or around his weight. Robbie Lawler maybe? GSP would've been a heavy favourite if they'd fought between 07-12. Not sure a lot has changed.

The odds of GSP fighting again have dropped dramatically and I'm fine with that.

Nice call on the cancellation speeds! I didn't think the UFC had the balls to do it! I'm glad they did. Now I can see Bisping get KTFO by Romero.

I don't think GSP will be coming back to MW now. I think we'll see him fighting Diaz in November.

"The UFC was aware of it,” St-Pierre told interviewer Justin Kingsley They knew I couldn't fight during the summer but they still insisted on doing that press conference with Michael Bisping. And when it happened, we were not very excited about the idea, but we wanted that fight, so we decided to do it, but then it turned into a negative thing because it took so long.

"But UFC knew. Everyone knew. The people concerned knew that that was the case, but they still tried to put pressure on me to fight in July. That's the reason why I'm coming out public today about the reason why I'm not fighting this summer."
