Mason Plumlee only shot 50% from the strip last year. This puts us squarely in the hack a center crosshairs. Be ready to have long drawn out 4th quarters whenever the Blazers are able to manage a close game. To make matters worse, Ed Davis was also a sub .500 free throw shooter last season.

Noah Vonleh and Kaman both shot just over 70% last year, so they can play in close games, and of course Meyers Leonard managed over 93% from the stripe and is one of, if not the best ft shooter on our team.

This is going to be a constant issue, who to play, when to play them and we will likely have ugly, nasty games because of it.

Lmao. We won't be good enough for hack a center to matter.

Nope because Hack a center is only applied vs good teams.

If other teams are playing Hack-a-Plum or Hack-Ed, that means we are ahead and it will be a pleasant surprise.

It's time to develop players regardless of their FT shooting %.

If it comes down to close games in the 4th... I wouldn't be surprised if we put Leonard at center.

That's the least of our problems.

Someone talk me down, I want the team to get Hibbert now.

Sign or trade for a Shooting Guard. I heard McCollum will be the backup Point Guard.

Kanter might be a possibility, even if we don't get him, we'll screw the Thunder.

Both Ed and plum had better FT shooting seasons previously (but not by much), hopefully they will learn, compete during practice with Meyers, and can get their numbers up a bit. Once a player can make 65% the hack attack becomes detrimental.

Seems like Leonard at 93% is a good option. Inside 2 minutes it is not an issue. Plus if we struggle to score, why would teams give us basically 1 point every time down the court.

Picture watching a blazer game at half-speed with vasoline smeared on your eyeballs. That's what a Hibbert game would be.

Noooo. No desperate moves. We are starting a rebuild, but it could be a quick one with the potential we already have. Let plumlee Meyers vonleh and Ed Davis get all the minutes

It really isn't a desperation move because Hibbert's contract come off the books next summer. There could be teams a center away from contending next season and would gladly give us young players for him.

Kanter is more practical. The Blazers are going young and need a mid range shooter.

Start the pair of Plumlee and Ed Davis; play them the beginning of all quarters. Help us get to the bonus. End of games is the Meyers Kaman show.

Statistically he rates as the worst defender in the NBA. David Lee is actually better. We likely have to pay him a max contract. Pass
