    Is expected to sign a 6 year deal worth slightly more than the 34.1 million contract given to Billups last season.

    giving him a larger contract would mean that they will have no money left to sign other free agents... and they may need an extra player to make a championship run...

    RIP and the pistons will be in talks this week..34 million is the deal that they think rip will agree to....he isn't the kind of guy to ask for too much..but either way pistons will have him next season...

    I thought he was gonna ask for 7 years and 70 million. I think thats one of the reasons the wizards traded him.

    No they traded him because MJ was bring a b!tch basically...

    reason we traded stack was also because we knew he would ask for way more...

    Of course..MJ didn't like rip...because he is a young guy also the fact MJ just basically saw what stack did in detroit because of us winning 50 games and got exciting and thought he would be good in washington..but little did he know...stack hates not being the 1st option on a team.....rip will play any way you ask him too...

    i think the bulls should try and go after him. he can score and defend on the wing. he's exactly what they need. they obviously won't be able to get him though [​IMG]

    You would think he'd want more than 5.6 million a year. I just dont see him signing for less than 8 million a year.

    Well they seem to be happy about the deal...no other team has a chance to sign him this season...as we can match any offer teams bid for him

    Rip Hamilton will hold out, believe me. he will talk to other teams until the pistons offer him the money he wants.

    He won't..he wants to stay a piston.....he has made that clear.Hos agent has stated rip doesn't want to play for anyone else...pistons will sign him on the 16th to the deal

    Rip was also traded because he was the only one that stood up to MJ.

    in hockey i was wondering free agentcy started today as well and can a player be signed today or do they have to wait till the 16th or something?
