The mayor and city council declared today as Portland Trailblazers Day. How are you celebrating?
Am I missing something? WTF is the significance of June 12th?
Are they that out of touch that they didn't make it June 5th or February 6th?
We don't do this after getting swept in the conference finals, for Godsakes. This is a political stunt if there ever was one.
I quit drinking so...…..
I saw the live feed that popped up on facebook. Wheeler declared it Portland Trailblazers Day. Terry and Neil were called up by Wheeler to talk to him and and the other commissioners. I bet Neil and Terry were thrilled to have to go down there. Nick Fish made some comment about uncertainty with team ownership or something like that, and mentioned that he doesn't want the team to move. Neil told him that Jody Allen has been great.
Me and riverman celebrating our Blazers:
I hope she stays on.
I think NO knows who's writing his checks!
Why? So we can stop and celebrate not winning the championship every June 12th...
Or if we ever do make the Finals again we'd maybe still be playing so that doesn't make sense when the parade would be a few days later.
It's Oregon...you pick the best weather you can find for your holiday!
who doesn't love a holiday? they're all political anyway...good for the GNP..spend those hard earned buckaroos!
Sigh... C'mon Chris...
I am getting irrationally irritated by this whole thing. Reminds me of the playoff party they threw in Pioneer Square in 09 for just making the first round.
