    That list is outrageously depressing

I don't buy it, but guys like Steve Kerr insist Barnes is the next James Harden in OKC. A guy who's underutilized because of the talent around him and can do a lot more.

    I don't see it.

We're not going to sign anyone to a MAX contract. Sign good players to reasonable contracts, and hope that a good trade materializes. Saddling ourselves with a bad contract just because we have money to spend isn't a good idea. In a few years the league is going to be full of Rashard Lewises - I'd rather not have one on our roster. Then we can take a Lewis off another team in exchange for also taking something of worth.

Me either. With Harden you saw that he was good on OKC. With Barnes you see that he's just an okay role player. But of course his coach is going to blow smoke up his ass.

He might be able to be like TOR-era Bosh: put up numbers on a crappy-to-pedestrian team.

Olshey needs to go HAM at Durant, Howard, Derozan, and Horford. Little chance of any one of them taking our money, but he has to go for broke.

I would strike off Horford (I don't want to pay the guy 23 MIL for a season at 34.5 years old) but I agree. He needs to give it a shot with the big wigs for sure. I just not trying to get my hopes up. Haha.

P.S. Ooops, I guess Howard too. He is a few months older than Horford even.

I know you hate the guy, but yes, seriously. He would make the team better. Significantly.

If we could deal Leonard and Kaman for Howard before the trade deadline, I'd do it in a second.

I wouldn't even want Beal at this point. The guy is Eric Gordon 2.0

    CJ > Beal.

Wookee hates everyone that's not on the team..... and for some reason LaMarcus Aldridge. He refuses to hate the turncoat.

Once again, something you never would have said 6 months ago. You are on record of wanting us to make a max offer on him on the hope that WAS doesn't match. Not to say I blamed you at the time. Just funny how things change.

Yeah, and that was before he had significant leg injuries that have kept him out of the lineup for huge chunks of time. I also wanted Peyton Manning on the 49ers after he left Indy.... but he's horrible now. Time marches on. Things change.

What? 6 months ago was off-season and you still wanted him. It was known that Beal was injury prone before this off-season. He had issues all last year as well.

You are making this more than I was saying. I know lots of people that still wanted him this off-season. No harm in it. The point was things can change fast in the NBA. I don't want him now for sure (and neither do you).

Would you care to identify any players on the free agent list that you believe would make us "better enough"?

He is on pace to start less than half of the games this season. That's a drastic turn for the worse.

Last season he played in 77% of the games.

The year before that he played in 89% of the games.

This season he has played in only 55% of the games up to this point, and he has only started in 36% of those games. That's pretty damn bad.
