    And Soup Juggler was picked over Dame that year. Oops. (So was Thomas Robinson)

    Soup Juggler killed whatever chance OKC had last night, then GS was off to the races. Not that it's all his fault, but he looked pretty bad.

    I think there's going to be a lot of that happening this summer. Barnes and Biyombo will be high on that list, IMO.

    I'd still take T-Rob over any PF we have on our team right now

    What's sad is Soup Juggler has been head-and-shoulders better than Barnes!

    I can see talent in Barnes. He's not being used to his fullest capability with GSW's.

    I have modified my wish list for summer....mostly from being more informed about the cap and our space.
    My wish list is:
    Durant - though I do not believe he will leave Thunder. They might win it all.
    James - though I do not believe he will leave Cleveland. He likes his home State.
    Whiteside - best chance at a player wanting to leave his current team. Big man! Fits age and skills needed.
    Howard - will have to plug my nose a bit, but he brings rebounding and blocks and low post presence that we don't have.
    Barnes - is better than Aminu/Harkless and is poised to be next MIP. We'd be better with him taking all the open 3's. Fits age and skill.
    Horford - solid but unspectacular. Would make us better. But isn't enough to take us to Championship level IMO.
    Drummond - doubtful that he would NOT be matched by Pistons.

    Otherwise, trade CJ, Aminu, Plumlee to Kings for Cousins. Sign a mid-level FA. Run with Lillard - Henderson - Harkless - Leonard - Cousins.

    Exactly. T Rob had 3 bone headed plays for every good one.

    Yeah, I don't get it. I don't understand how a poster that's always talking about players passing the "eye test" can actually like Thomas Robinson's game. He'll get a couple highlight reel blocks or put back dunks per season, but he's always losing his man on defense, making stupid unforced turnovers, committing stupid fouls and can't make a FT to save his life. He will never be a starting PF in this league and as a back up PF, I'd take Ed Davis any and every time.

    Ed reminds me a lot of Joel Przybilla. He's limited, but what he does, he does VERY well. He knows his limitations and doesn't try to force himself to do more than he is capable of doing. He's the anti-TRob in that respect and it's why:

    Ed Davis:
    TS% = .611
    ORtg = 128
    DRtg = 104
    Delta = +24

    Thomas Robinson:
    TS% = .453
    ORtg = 94
    DRtg = 105
    Delta = -11

    Certainly no statistical reason. I just really loved the way he played. Their numbers are pretty similar per 36, in fact points and rebounds favor T-Rob. Davis shoots way better and has a much higher PER. Like I said, no rationale for it. I just liked him. Just a ball of energy

    Meyers will get an 8 figure per year contract this summer from some NBA team. Robinson might not be in the NBA next season.

    Trob had serious energy. The kind of energy Nico could have used and if he had it could have been an all star. But energy doesnt always equate to good/solid play. Nor does it translate to BBIQ. TRob wont be in the league much longer and is ONLY in the league because he might be in the top 5 in the league as far as energy is concerned. The moment he loses a step he will be done.

    I agree with all of you who think I'm crazy about liking T-Rob. Again, no reason for it other than he was fun to watch play.

    PF is a hard position to evaluate because it has changed over the last few years. They have to be able to guard multiple types of players. We need an Aminu and we need an Ed Davis. Hopefully Vonleh can develop into a combination of the two.

    Unfortunately, as dviss1 noted, that unharnessed energy leads to a very large number of boneheaded plays that hurt his team. The guy has way more "d'oh!" moments per-36 than Meyers Leonard.

    I'll take Steady Eddie any day of the week over the PF that shoots .447 FG%, .431 FT% and commits twice as many TOVs per-36.

    I like Ed Davis off the bench. I'll like him more if he bulks up as he promised. I'm not going to hold my breath on the free throws, though. ;)

    :cheers:

    I still like TRob. He was doing very well for the Nets at the end of the season. He's a hard worker. I think he could have been fine as a backup energy guy coming off the bench.

    Hindsight is always 20/20, but having Will and TRob coming off the bench this year would have been great. They would have fit right in. With that said, I'm fine with how things turned out, and I like Vonleh. I think he could end up a much better player than TRob.
