The 2011 – 12 NBA sports betting season, has been a whirlwind year. It almost didn’t happen, as a four-month lockout, required the NBA to diminish the amount of games played to 66. With all 30 teams playing 42 back-to-back games, the risk for injury increased tenfold. Nevertheless, as we get set for the start of the Championship round on Tuesday, the league its fans and bookies across North America all received the final they hoped for.

For the first time in the past decade, both the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat enter the NBA Title series as the second seed in their conferences. Based on records, the Thunder will be the home team throughout the series. However based on experience, one has to believe that the Heat have the betting online USA advantage. This game also features the current MVP v the man many believe should be the MVP, as LeBron James and Kevin Durant go head to head. With this in mind, we wanted to know who you are picking?

On paper, the Heat and Thunder couldn’t be more different. The Heat base their plans of attack around the big three of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Conversely, the Thunder can use any of their 11 players to beat a team. For example, where the Heat went from facing a bad Knicks team to overwhelming the Pacers, to outworking the over the hill Boston Celtics, the Thunder dominated the last three West representatives in the NBA finals. For the Thunder, each series had a new betting software representative step up to the plate.

In the Dallas series, the aforementioned Durant, along with Russell Westbrook took care of the offense, while Serge Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins led the defensive attack. Then in the Lakers series, the Thunder’s bench averaged 57 points compared to 10 on two separate occasions against the Lakers bench. Finally, in the Spurs series, the Thunder fell behind losing the first two games, before coming all the way back and winning four straight games. It’s worth noting, that prior to losing four straight to Oklahoma City, the San Antonio Spurs hadn’t lost 5Dimes four straight in nearly two months.

As we count down the hours until the NBA Finals tee off tomorrow night, it is difficult to decide which team to choose as Champion. On the one hand, the Thunder are still really young, which is why they acquired former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Derek Fisher for veteran experience. Conversely, the Heat are so talented with their three man rotation, that they should be able to win the NBA Title. What’s more? In the final two games against the Boston Celtics, we witnessed a different side of LeBron James that many of us hadn’t seen before. James appeared more focused then he had in the past three years, as he showed us why he’s a three time MVP. Now that he is going up against Durant, a man many feel was robbed of the MVP, we can truly decide who is the best player in the NBA.
