I really liked Chip's 'go for it' attitude on 4th downs. Any notion as to how Helfrich will approach them?
I think everyone expects Helfrich to be Chip Kelly part DEUX. So there will be a lot of go for it calls to appease those critics. However this year we have a kicker in "Wogan" and inexperienced LB's and we have to find a suitable replacement for Dion who's presence alone perplexed O lines. Kiko, Clay and Dion made up a good % of the tackles last year. So I'd say until Mark knows exactly how much this defense can be trusted, field position will be key. Saying that, I'd also interject I think this years offense may be damn near unstoppable!
Helf doesn't strike me as a gambler, like Chip. But, he does strike me as someone who is confident in his O and D...so hopefully, we get more of the same.
I'm sure you guys have discussed it, but how involved was Helfrich in the play calling the past few years. Sure seemed like Chip was calling everything!
