He had an intestinal blockage and a kidney stone stemming from his (excessive?) weight cut and went to hospital last night. Hendricks was telling everyone yesterday he was at 183-lbs. and feeling good about the weight cut. He has a reputation for blowing up between camps so probably safe to assume he started at over 200-lbs. a week or two ago. It is unhealthy to cut a lot of weight many times during your career and problems like this can start to arise. Dude was working with Dolce previously but the two weren't together for this one. Gastelum had similar issues when Woodley was scheduled to fight him a little while ago. Looks like Woodley is getting another paycheque for a successful training camp!
Apparently Dana White has named Tyron Woodley top contender to face the winner of Lawler/Condit, but we've heard that before...
Hendricks was 20-25 pounds off weight. Dana White and Mark Ratner are moving him up to middleweight. Disaster for Bigg Rigg. I think the average MW walks around at about 205-lbs. and is over 6-foot. Hendro is going to be the Hunto of the division at 5'9" tall.
Bendo has offered to take the fight but I think it is too late. Love that Bendo is in Cowboy mode these days. Good for him.
Somebody said that DFW has retracted Woodley's contendership. Hope not. That would be some shit right there. Not out of character, though.
