This a short clip of some fun I had this past Summer. I would have put more in but I'm not exactly the greatest at video production. How do you guys like my Zers gear? My shirt says "God first, then family, then the Blazers" ;)

In order of the scenes it's a Glock 20 10mm, Smith & Wesson 460, HK VP9 (I got it!), AR-15 5.56, AR-10 .308, then my ex-Marine buddy's old Remington 700 something 30-06 rifle. The 5.56 steel penetrating NATO rounds and the 30-06 went straight through a one and a half inch plate of solid steel! Some of this stuff is pretty dumb but that's what makes it fun!. In one of the clips I didn't show a piece of shrapnel went straight into my shoulder and I'm pretty sure it's still in there haha.

That looks like you had a blast. I had a cousin from NY in town Friday so I too him shooting, something he never gets a chance to do. It was only his second time ever aside from bolt action 22 at summer camp growing up. Brought my guns and a friend lent six additional ones. By far, over the AR 15, 308 and all the other guns, the 44magnum was my cousins favorite. Also shooting skeet as always, fun.

Honestly bro, just get a Springfield XD-9. It's a good and cheap gun. I think they go for $450.

When you are familiar with that weapon, I would recommend getting a 40 caliber or higher.

There is always the revolver. A gun that will always fire, easy to maintain and clean. There is no safety and it's really a point and click weapon.

Ruger or smith and Wesson .357 mag would be my choice. They run for about $500. Practice with .38 special rounds because they are cheap. Get holo points .357 mag for your home protection.

For home prot cation ID pick up a shotgun. A mossberg 500 can be picked up new for $300 for a very basic model. But for home, that's all you need.
