Ugh, if K*be likes him, it makes me less attached to Rudy.

I listened to Rudy's interview today with Canzano and he came off really well in terms of what he wants for this team. It didn't sound like the typical cliches either... granted that he doesn't sound the same because he speaks with a heavy accent.

He's all about learning about the NBA and how to improve by playing with guys like Roy. He's more than happy to do what the coach asks of him and just wants to go out there and battle.

All the positive things aside, I have this fear deep down that he'll go back to Spain in a few years when he wants more money or isn't getting the kind of role he wants / deserves.

It seems to be the way of the Euro lately.

Rudy should be approaching the end of his contract about when Blazers start contending. I would think Rudy wouldn't be satisfied until he at least had a shot at winning a title. Additionally, after the four years are up, Portland can show him the money--if they want to.

I wouldn't worry too much about Rudy.
