I wish they would too, but I just don't see it. Howard is a big time big market guy. I just don't see him going anywhere unless it's New York, Brooklyn or Los Angeles.
Not sayin they'll get him, but I can hope, right? I don't see how BKN or NY could afford him. He can either stay in LA, maybe sign with Dallas, Houston, or ATL. I'm hoping for ATL. Horford and Howard wouldn't work together at all.
Dude I am hoping right there with ya. Even if we couldn't land Horford; I would love to see Howard just bolt to Atlanta just because it would handicap the hell out of L.A. I actually hope your dream comes true!
Okay lets say this is a reality.... I think Horford will demand a little under Aldridge's contract, maybe slightly more than Batum.
I'm not talking about position though. I'm talking about playstyle. A guy like Aldridge would be awesome next to Howard.
Oh wait a minute... So you are suggesting a trade if they land Howard? Yes absolutely Howard + Aldridge is actually much better than Howard + Horford. So you think we should trade Aldridge for Horford if they got Howard? To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't mind that deal one bit.
I'm hoping he signs with Houston, making Asik available. In my opinion, Asik is pretty much exactly what we need in a starting Center & an EXCELLENT compliment to the other four members of our starting unit (Lillard, Matthews, Batum, & Aldridge).
