It's unclear whether former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams will be cleared to open the 2017-18 regular season with his new team, the Charlotte Hornets. Head coach Steve Clifford revealed Friday that the 25-year-old underwent platelet-rich plasma treatments on the patellar tendons in both his knees in July, and he has yet to be cleared to work out, according to The Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell.
