Hey guys, Some of you guys(the majority) probably don't know me because I am mainly active in the NHL section of this forum(some of you need to get out and explore the forum more) anyways,I thought of exploring other sports, and thought NBA should be the first, any tips for a Rookie trying to watch NBA? Which teams should I follow? Which channels do the games come on? Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.
It's only pre-season right now but there will be an interesting game today with the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks, which will be airing nationally on TNT at 8:00 PM. Might want to check that out. Teams I would recommend following are Lakers, Celtics, Magic, Heat, Mavericks, and Spurs. Or you can follow Canada's own Toronto Raptors.
I assume that you are from Canada? If so follow the Raptors. You will get to see them more. Read all you can about them and other NBA teams. Learn the rules. Study the history and some of the greats that have played the game. When you watch the game, watch more than just the score. Watch the strategy of the coaches, watch the defense being played by both teams etc; Play the game. You will respect the skill set of many of the NBA players.
