Nuggets have their two point guards..Andre Miller and Earl Boykins....a great point guard duo..i expect miller to get 10 assists a game again..and boykins to be the kind of player he was at Golden State..big time points off the bench and in the 4th quarter...

GS was a different situation than Denver. Denver just handed Miller a nice new contract. Meaning Miller will be the PG in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter, not Boykins. Forget the heroics Boykins did in GS, thats done and over with.

Miller and Boykins cannot play in the same backcourt at the same time. Miller cannot defend SG's. Neither can Boykins. So that rules that possibility out. Miller isn't a great defender either......so there is no way that happens. GS could get away with it bec. Arenas is a pretty good defender.

Anyway- back to the contract thing. Miller was rewarded with a pretty good contract. Meaning, Denver wants to play him. He will play in the 4Q. Boykins will be used as a backup. Not the same role as he was used in GS. Good signing? Yes. But forget the idea that you'll see Boykins in the game for scoring.

You dont give big contracts out to a player whom you will bench when the game is on the line.

Boykins was not just a bench player with a lucky hot scoring streak. He is THE quickest player Ever... Hes quicker than T.Parker, Speedy, And even Iverson. He brings energy and breaks down defenses with his speed. He has been overlooked for the last 3 years becuase of his size. He also has Iverson-like heart, determination, and confidence.
Boykins is gonna break out this year as a star, if Denver lets him play more than 25 minutes/game. You heard it from me first.

If Denver really wants to Win they should start Boykins, and insert Miller off the bench when they need a better defensive set. But your probably right, Management probably wont let that happen because of finance and politics.
