Noone on the Minnesota Timberwolves current roster has ever scored fifty or more points in one game. Olowakandi got thirty. Kevin Garnett and Sam Cassell have gotten 40. Gill got 41. Wally got 44. And Latrell Sprewell got 49, but no current T-Wolve has ever gotten fifty points. I just thought that I would share that with you. I found it interesting since the Timberwolves have one of the most stacked lineups talent wise in the NBA.

I think it will be the most unlikely to happen this season. The Timberwolves will have three/four scorers in Wally, Garnett, Sprewell, and Cassell. Cassell's career is on the downfall. Sprewell doesn't have it in him anymore to get fifty points, although I think he could still get in the thirties. Wally won't see the time of day. And if Garnett couldn't last year then I don't think that he will this year with 1/4 less touches.

I really think that too much focus is put into scoring 30+ points a game. Sure some player might score 30+ points a game but he might have a bad game in every other category. I dont care how many points and individual scores as long as their team comes out with the win.

Well 49 against the Celtics was a dam close bid in 2001-2002. And though Sprewell didn't have his greatest season last year, Coach Chaney ran alot more plays for Houston as he emerged as the number 1 option/scorer. It might be unlikely but you wouldnt have guessed Spree would hit the record last season and go 9/9 from 3 point range either. I wouldn't rule him out so quickly.. BUT.. i'd rather him have a ring on his finger

^^ hehe.. Wilt has 15 of the 20 highest scoring games in NBA history..
David Thompson (73), Elgin Baylor (71), David Robinson (71), Michael Jordan (69) and Pete Maravich (68) are the only other players in the top 20.

I don't think it matters, as long as we get the win.

Sam never scored 50pts because a point should never take enuff shots to try and score 50. If a point takes enuff shots to score 50 its a good chance that his team will lose that game. he not getting other plays on the court the ball which is the man job of a point. Good example is when Steph scored 50 when he was on nthe nets vs the lakers. Steph was killing d.fisher & kobe but he was also going nut and Van horn &Kittles was standing around doing nothing. The nets had a
chance to when that game after Kobe got an AND1 off his drive to the basket. The nets were down by one but steph was feeling himself so he tried to win the game solo the whole laker team knew he was going to try and score but he still try to look for his own shot. Like four lakers surrounded him so he try to force a bad layup attempt which SHaq basically killed. Nets lose by 1 but steph scored 50 meanless points. Because if you score 50 and lose the points are meanless.

Spree will never get 50 points this season...he was the main man...IMO the first scoring option of the Knicks...he wasn't able to get 50...how would he do it now with KG in the lineup?

No one will get 50 for a while on the Timberwolves as of now, to many options for just one guy to score.

KG has never scored more than 40? Wow. He is not very selfish. Sometimes he should take over games instead of passing to guys like Wally..

He has scored 40 twice, but yes, you are right, he is a little to unselfish. But he doesn't need to be this year.
