    This was worded weirdly.

"Justin was a good man. That scholarship more than made up for firing me."

Almost came across as someone who had no idea how unimportant they were (though I suspect he meant that it made it easier to accept the firing)

So he was fired because he swore over the com channel more than once.

This doesn't really sound like someone that should have an article written about them.

Must've been an incredibly slow news week for the Willamette Week.

Especially since they've had a ton of people do security for the team, and he wasn't even on gameday security. Totally boring person to pick.

I thought his insight on how players treated the security was important and interesting.

Seriously, do people actually read the WW?! I've lived in Portland most of my life and just figured.... If I want to read the Bay Guardian, I will just read the Bay Guardian. :dunno:

I love the WW. They've tackled stories the Oregonian refused to and actually helped to cover up. It's important support independent local journalism. Nigel Jaquiss has ended the careers of Goldschmidt and Kitzhaber.

by, not about. Unless I misunderstood the byline, he's a writer for WW who wrote a story about himself.

I used to stick to the Mercury when I went for local weekly press fare. At least you got the impression they didn't like sniffing their own asses like the WW. But kudos for taking down liberal Kingfishes like Goldschmidt and Kitzhaber.

That was weird. He wasn’t a “Team” security guy though. He was one of the Coast to Coast security people they randomly bring in to work the grounds. I thought it was a team guy when I saw the title. No different then the snow cone and cotton candy guys.

I don't think he was Coast to Coast. He worked for the Command Center which is a 24 hr security service at the Rose Quarter who commonly hire younger veterans. Their dispatch center is through those windows as you walk up through the loading dock.

Coast to Coast was a trashy little outfit. I'm surprised they haven't lost their contract with the arena.

Also, the guy is full of shit. He brings up Richie Frahm who started playing during 04-05 year and then mentions Pippen and Sabonis who never played with Frahm, He was only there 90 days before they let him go.

    This rumor's been around forever.

Fiends who want to imprison the majority of Americans for drugs hate him, but Stoudamire was a nice guy. And they aren't.

Pippen had the nerve to work the media to pressure Paul Allen for a management job.

Frahm was on the team in the 02-03 preseason. I remember him being in the team media guide that year.
