I was thinking that too. I guess if he's dancing, he's connecting. As you can tell by the excitement in my previous post, I'm not holding my breath for a reincarnation of Danny Terrio.

He was cut by Belichick so we know he can't drop kick.

Dallas has a problem with kickers.. its a curse team for that position..

just like seattle is with dropping balls.. the greatest player to ever play WR in the NFL went to seattle and started dropping passes.. oh yes Jerry Rice

its nothing more then the uniform

oh he also fumbled more times that year then any other year in his carrer.. was also his lowest rushing average of his carrer

I wish I could be as optimistic as you are. Automatica has had a decent career, but the last three or four years don't really excite me. 12-29 over 30 yards. Ugh. I'm more for your Hoffman Reunion.

and in favor of a rookie. that doesn't spell confidence for the folks in Big D when their team lines up for a game winner.

I'm actually not very optimistic....just hoping that someone can break this damn curse....having Hoffman back would be great, but Atlanta has him locked up now.

I'm with you Bakes. Interestingly enough, though, I just found this blog of Pats info back in training camp 8/15:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Bill Parcells has expressed some frustation with Mike Vanderjagt?s output, or lack thereof. He hasn?t kicked off yet in camp. He?s nursing a sore leg. If Vanderjagt does come around, his short kickoff leg may force Dallas to keep a kickoff specialist, something the special teams obsessive Parcells would rather not do.

The Patriots, on the other hand, are watching a kicker?s duel. Veteran Martin Grammatica and rookie Stephen Gostkowski have nailed every kick put in front of them. Gostkowski was New England?s fourth-round pick in April?s draft. His big price tag and longer kickoff leg give him the current edge. Age has robbed Grammatica of his long-distance cannon, but reports from Pats camp suggest he can still get kickoffs to the goal line with some frequency. If Vanderjagt?s sore leg takes too long for Parcells? liking, Dallas might look to New England for insurance</div>

Statistically, I think he's still the most accurate kicker in history. One of the ESPN analysts said something about that last night during halftime.
