...then Bloomberg's your guy! I swear this is gonna be a bloodbath before it's all over. https://nypost.com/2020/02/13/trump-bloomberg-trade-insults-as-twitter-feud-escalates/
Meanwhile, Barr chimes in! https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bar...s-stone-case-impossible-job/story?id=68963276
Probably not, but, despite his physical lack of height, he's evidently willing to go toe-to-toe with Trump. And, personally, I believe a lot of liberals (and conservatives alike) would love to see someone actually trade barbs and onslaughts with Trump. In other words, fight fire with fire. What a concept! Now, in terms of policy? That could be a different story, altogether.
Yeah, I'm not particularly impressed by Bloomberg's attacks on Trump. Lots of people have said the same things about Trump--Bloomberg's hardly the first. I don't actually think most of the left is thinking that they want their own Trump. If you're going to be a prick as a politician, at least be a smart and effective one like Lyndon B. Johnson.
IF this is what you actually feel, ABM, then you know very little about people who are progressive or liberal in nature. Bloomberg is not what people on the left want or need.
He's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is, or as clever. If any of the D's (or the R's in 15/16) had an ounce of spine in them, they would've been able to walk all over his school yard bully act. Basically, someone needs to pull a "are you done coming up with clever catch phrases that you can get people to repeat over and over? Because the adults in the room want to talk about actual issues" and then whisper under their breath "you filthy c***"
I suppose there's 2 lines of thinking on this. 1. When you're dealing with someone like Trump, in order to be successful, sometimes you have to get down to their level. 2. "Never wrestle with a pig – it gets mud all over you and the pig likes it."
Just thinking out loud here, looking at the big picture. What can any candidate say to or about Trump that hasn't been said a thousand times? The dirty political attacks against Trump have been going on since he won the election. Many of us do not pay attention to them anymore. And we know Trump doesn't care what is said about him, as long as he keeps getting free exposure, good or bad. I'm not saying the attacks are valid, or not. Just that the anti-Trump camp may have run out of trump cards to play. And Trump is still holding most of his trump cards. Gees, this post unintentionally turned into a sick joke.
Most New Yorker business men & women Ive done business with over the years are in your face direct, thick skinned, aggressive and not at all bashful. On one hand I liked it because I knew exactly what they expected and/or how they felt about my proposals. If they had an issue no beating around the bush or games. Yeah...dont tell about your f.....g product I know about your f.....product. You're a f....ing red sox fan to so go f yourself! lol
Some were, some are exagerations. But that was not my point. How many times do you have to hear fire Olshey before you stop listening, or caring, what that person has to say? I'm saying many on the far left are misbehaving like 2 year olds with full diapers, while having non-stop tantrums because they want everyone else's cake.
That was EXACTLY the point of this thread! In other words, Bloomberg may the secret weapon (Trump basher) the other candidates stand behind. We shall see.
