OT If you were BOSTON, what would you do?

Discussion in 'Portland Trail Blazers' started by Harry's Raincoat, May 16, 2017.

?

What would you do?

  1. Draft at #1 (Probably Fultz or Ball)

    66.7%
  2. Trade Pick for veteran(s)

    23.1%
  3. Trade down for non-PG rookie

    10.3%

If you are Danny Ainge, Boston Celtics, #1 Seed in the Eastern Conference, trying to earn a trip to the Finals this year, AND blessed with the #1 Pick in the Draft........WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

You take Fultz and trade away guys at the same position that have value. Use the trades to patch the rest of the roster.

Draft Fultz, sign Hayward in free agency, then trade Fultz for Butler.

Fire Ainge for stealing toilet paper. Give the Blazers the first pick in the draft. And trade head coaches, obviously.

If this was the NFL, I think they'd do that.

Boston should acquire talent. Draft or trade, they aren't exactly a scary #1 seed.

Ainge will draft Fultz. This will probably mean trading Marcus Smart who has underperformed somewhat.

    Trade 1 for 5 and 10?

Or give it back to Brooklyn. They need it more than Boston.

If they take fultz they can still have near max cap room.

Take fultz, sign a max guy, figure the rest out.

Ball wants LA and LA wants Ball. Use it against them and trade for the #2 pick and one of LA's youngins.

Draft Fultz, no question. Trade Bradley to a contender that needs a 1 year rental.

I could honestly see Ainge taking Tatum, who I think could be the best player in this draft.

Dennis Smith, Tatum and Collins are my faves in this draft of the top 10. Fultz aint bad either. Lonzo Ball is so much hype. He'll be a bust.
