Not really! But my girlfriend and I have started making videos for fun. Y'all aren't really the target demographic (unless you're Venezuelan!) but if you wanna check out our new video and give it a like or subscribe, that'd be cool. I also welcome haters here if that's your thing. Thanks!

My father was born in Cuba and grew up in Venezuelan. I've visited many times. Still have relatives there.

I didn't know that! I hope they're doing well considering the situation there. I wish to visit some day, hopefully sooner than later. It looks like a really beautiful country, the state it's in is a real shame.

But on a positive note, I'm marrying this girl in October :smiley-bouncy:

When I was in college there were two graduating students that were actively trying to recruit us to live and work in their countries. One was from Singapore and the other was from Venezuela.

I once went to a little island near Maracaibo that the beach was covered in these little sea shells, and by covered that's what I mean, you couldn't see any sand, just tiny shells everywhere, when a wave would wash up on shore it would sound like a million wind chimes ringing out. It was one of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard.

A little context: An arepa is kind of like a Venezuelan (and Colombian) sandwich made from a corn flour 'biscuit' instead of bread. There are a lot of different things they use as filling, like deli meats, cheese, shredded meat, beans, plantains, avocados and more. But never anything sweet and I don't think they'd put peanut butter in it either. So of course as an American I'm like this is a sandwich so I'll make a PB&J arepa! I honestly thought it was good but it's basically an insult to all of Venezuela to make it.

I think probably most Venezuelans can no longer afford to buy the ingredients for an arepa. Somebody needs to do something about that.
