What do the good Republicans here think about this man and the emulation of his tactics and ideals by the American right wing? What about his obvious ties and working relationship with Putin? What about his obvious racism and bigotry? What about his desire of a white ethno-state? What about all that damned fascism? And yes I'm singling out the Republicans. This would be like inviting Hugo Chavez to speak at the Democratic National Convention back in the days before he was hanging out with worms and dirt. And some people still think people like myself are being alarmist. Listen to Trump's latest DC speech. It is almost word for word what Orban would say.
The smartest thing we could do as a country is ban political parties and go with a straight popular vote.
I'm all for the popular vote but I think we should level the playing field for the Green Party, Libertarians, Constitutionals, Socialists and all parties have a seat at the table and the same budget to campaign and equal airtime but have campaigns limited to a two month campaign...vote...ended. The war chest campaign needs to end. There should be no majority party in Senate or the House..they should be neutral and focused on fixing problems instead of fixating on problems. What's glaringly apparent is it's not working as constructed...I'd rather have a highly qualified think tank running the country than a talking head raking in big bucks by pandering to lobbyists.
