I dont know how ya'll feel, but it’s still doesn't get out of my head that we couldn’t beat Denver without Murray and Barton. This year was our damn chance, half of the league is/was injured, i don't know if we ever get a chance like this. And the fact that Denver got swept in the next round made me realize how poor this roster really is. I had no expectations but i had no idea that it was THAT bad and i still dont want to accept it

I would suggest that you reevaluate the role sports fandom takes in your life, honestly.

Epic bad series loss. I mean it took every single will effort to try and beat this short handed Denver team and Blazers still loss. This was the season. We got healthy at the perfect time too. And still got spanked

I'm not sure this year was our chance. We still would have faced Phoenix at full strength and I'm fairly certain they would have throttled us too.

I was sad and frustrated, and then I was happy because we were finally rid of Stotts and most likely/hopefully CJ and Melo as well.

    It was a necessary evil.

The way that Phoenix just completely dismantled Denver shows how totally far away we are from contending. It's a good thing. The team needed a benchmark and now we have it. Dame played an absolutely outstanding series and we just couldn't give him the help to beat a hobbled Denver team.

I thought we were an also ran from last offseason. With CJ, Melo, Kanter, no back up pg and no wing scorer to take pressure off Dame, what did you seriously expect?

All very predictable. That's why the civilized people on this board didn't want to make the playoffs. Same results. No lottery pick next year.

As I said, Stotts is incapable of doing much in the post season.

It was better that we lost in the first round then to get swept in the second. It at least guaranteed changes. Maybe those would be coming anyways but I will take the guarantee.

the loss to Denver was frustrating....but it was also predictable. And even if the path to the championship is more open this year than ever, the Blazers didn't have enough talent to move up that path. They didn't have climbing gear

so, there was no lost opportunity in the playoffs. Those opportunities were lost in the last few drafts and off-seasons

Yup. Zero wiggle room on Stotts and CJ imo.
