is to forget entirely about it.

Yes, it would have been nice if we would have gotten something out of him if he knew he did not want to stay. However, we are never going to know for sure what his intentions were. We are never going to know what management's position is either. They could have easily said to all free agents that Paul wanted to enjoy his team, did not want a rebuild yet, to play as hard as they could this season, and let the chips fall afterwards where ever. It was not as if Olshey went into free agency with the believe LMA would re-up. Remember, three other free agents left and another veteran was traded.

Some here are acting like they have never been involved with someone and then the relationship fail. The best way to deal with getting dumped is to not care. Move on and show them what they missed out on. Getting revenge should not be the motivation, but cannot say I do not get a small bit of satisfaction seeing ex's and someone else having to deal with their issues.

I know I'm going full mags but I actually believe we may make the playoffs. I also think we have a good chance Dame will be an allstar. And we may have a great shot meeting the Spurs in the playoffs.

It would be even extra nice to actually beat those fuckers and after "the shot". Dame says "Aldridge who?"

That is definitely full Mags. Offseason is still young but our core right now is younger. Not seeing any move we could make that makes us a playoff team.

He would make the shot and then go "You know what time it is, LA?"

And LA would say "I can't make time for you, man. Call me."

We know basketball players have egos and some are more fragile than others, but they are all still human and prefer to be loved than hated.

Is there any validity that the overwhelming negativity over the last few days from the public helped LMA decide to leave? IS there any validity to free agents like Monroe watching this and saying I don't want to go there, I could get eaten alive too?

Is there any validity to when we just post stupid uninformative posts like, "WE ARE GONNA SUCK NOW".. "THE CELLAR WE GO"... that our new young players will lose confidence, because the city doesn't believe in them?
I don't expect everyone to be a psychologist and am not one myself, but this to me is building101 common sense. This new team is young and will need to be built up a bit. Reassured that then can BECOME....

Half the posts I read are just ridiculously selfish emotions that have no validity in this real world. If you like the team, and are a fan, quit your self pity rants and think of the positive potential. If you don't see any at all then you have the blinders of negativity on and should see a shrink to help wit that.

LMA? Wish you would have stayed, but I understand your reasons. I wish you the best except when you play the blazers, though I honestly think you had a better chance at continuing your high level of play here. I think you are going to see a dip in your numbers and might not even maker the all star next year. With that said, I hope I am wrong, as I know you gave us everything you had when you were here.

I was personally witness to 1y games of which you helped me celebrate a victory in 13 of those games I saw you in. Thanks for that...I will remember those for life!

    a TRUE fan.

Yes because EVERY OTHER fan base is unified and positive. We are no more petty and mean than any other fan base.

What? We just lost 4/5th's of a starting lineup that won 50+ games the past 2 years. This is the worst offseason job by Blazer management that I've ever seen.

Holy shit! You mean to tell me you would give Wes 60 mil for 4 years, Lopez 58mil for 4 years? Please tell me your joking because I would almost guarantee we could have kept them for those prices.

I think that at some point we'll look closely at what we've got, and we will like it. Neil has obtained some good, even exciting, players.

Hollow stats. Tell me what their record was against playoff teams. Yes we will suck the next couple of years, but we didn't exactly break up the dream team here.

Agree with a lot of this, until I remember how difficult it was to even get to where we were the last two seasons.

You obviously weren't around the summer after the 77/78 season when Bill Walton told Portland to shove it after Blazer management pressured him to take pain killing injections in feet they knew were bad. It took us more than a decade to fully recover. Walton never did.

Think about it though.... The difficulty wasn't only because of players. Our management (revolving door GMs), coach (Nate McISO) and Injuries played a huge part.

With the right management and coach, you can be back in no time flat

So you think losing 4/5ths of our starting lineup is a good thing? Really? That's an interesting perspective.
