It doesn't matter to me. The two are awesome, and we are lucky to have both of them. Come playoff time, those other teams are gonna be HURTING....

If there was a maybe, Id probably select that. I think Whiteside is a better lob player, and better rebounder, about even defensively, and not as good at passing, shooting, and post play.

Nurk is a lot younger than Hassan and on a great contract for the Blazers too.

When Nurk is Healthy they have the best Center duo in the NBA.

I’m sticking to this; Whiteside will re-sign in Portland next summer. Sacrificing some minutes is worth the happiness and success.

    But no, he isn’t.

My post was basically how Ive felt about their careers so far. Whiteside has done a few things at an elite level for years now, even with some of the attitude problems in Miami.

If we based things on their collective careers, I'd say Whiteside has had a "better" career, but he's also played longer.

I'm just happy he's a Blazer right now, and look forward to when Nurk is back and hopefully the team and successfully re-insert him into the lineup.

I think in a lot of ways Whiteside is better. And if he had played with Dame for 3 years or so, he'd be even better and not have as much baggage

But he's 5 years older than Nurkic and will be getting paid next summer. Nurkic still has some sizable upside while Whiteside is what he is

Whiteside is better than I realized, but no Nurk is significantly better.

Is Nurk significantly better than Whiteside? Last season Whiteside had 28 points on 11-12 shooting against the Blazers, and Miami won by 10 points in Portland.

Depends on how well Nurkic comes back from his injury.

Before Nurkic got injured he was arguably the best center in the league.

Whiteside fits very well with our team. But I’d still say Nurkic at this point. Still very early.

I wonder if the blazers plan on playing them both at the same time, or what?

What a great problem to have but I'm voting Nurk for several reasons...screens, passing and Nurk has better hands and controls the ball ...Hassan is a better shot blocker, rim protector and put back second chance guy. Hassan is quicker than I thought but Nurk is sharper at getting to the right spot and Nurk is quite a bit younger

I voted no, but I'll give Whiteside credit for playing way, way better in the first 2 games than I expected. Hopefully he can keep it up.

They’re entirely different players but teams have to game plan on actually slowing down Nurk. Whiteside is a guy who feeds off others.

Jesus. This place. Fuck. Why is this even a conversation? Does it REALLY matter to any of you guys who is better? A new guy to the team, or a dude that snapped his leg and is recovering.

They BOTH are awesome in their own rights. WHY, do we have to say that one is shittier than the other? That's some retarded crap right there. Can't we just support both of them? Oh, hell no; not around here. There's got to be an arguement about everything.....

Just wait until Stotts inserts the situational lineup of Nurk, Whiteside, Collins, Hezonja, and Ant!
