How about signing him this offseason and replacing Maynor? He is really solid now.

I would be good with Jack, but he will cost twice what
Maynor will. Overall, I think Maynor is good enough, and I would rather use anything else on a defensive center

Maybe but I don't think so. I feel if anything he would make more on some other teams. So many teams with too much money to spend this summer.

He might get a big offer from a team but he isn't a starting PG/SG and paying him like one would be disastrous for any team. He may actually mean want he says but to come out and say it is a little media ploy as well since the team that can give him the most money/years is the warriors since they have his bird rights I believe.

Why would he turn down the team which traded him, Brandon Rush, and Josh McRoberts for Bayless?

Jack is Golden State's second-best player right now!
Offer him 8 mil a year and a starting spot, and we might have a chance.

I would rather stick with Maynor as he has more experience and in the end, experience is what it really comes down to.

You forget that we made that move to clear up playing time for Sergio Rodriguez. So that made it all worth it, right?

I can't understand why Jackson wants him playing PG with Curry off the ball. Jack's PG instincts are still so shitty but he's become a better scorer.

What are you talking about? Everyone makes mistakes but Jarrett Jack is basically running this team of inexperienced players and nearly has them in the second round of the playoffs. Have some respect.

When Jack clamped Silly Gilly to 9 and 19 points when Arenas had promised 50 both times, Jarrett deserved a downtown parade for saving the pride of Portland.

Question? We already have issues affording Maynor. How are we going to afford Jarrett Jack?

In theory we won't have a cap hold on Jack during the offseason, letting us get a center, then use the remaining to sign Jack... but Jack's going to demand so much we'd have to maybe do a sign and trade where we send Matthews (and others) to GS and start Jack and Damain together.

We should buy low, not buy high. Find an up-and-coming talent, not a matured one.

You could probably sign Maynor and Tony Allen easily for less that what Jack will get. I would choose that route vs JJ

I really want Tony Allen. I think the most the guy has ever made is 3.3 MIL. I don't know if we can fit him in (depends on what level of Center we get) but I think he would jump at a 5.2ish MIL per contract for 3 years.

I cant say why for sure but I dont think he has a lot of desire to play here. And Im sure he wants to start. With Jack you really have to accept the bad with the good because some of those things have not changed since he was a rookie but the good has gotten a lot better. I like the idea of Jack but I think Maynor and Allen impact our team even more if we could do that for the same price.

If we played Allen and Batum as the starters and brought Wes off the bench with Maynor that would help a lot

It's easy to dismiss his faults when they're winning. Keep watching in the playoffs. His decision making while initiating that offense is very suspect. He's a far better scorer than I gave him credit for, though. I suppose he's playing 1 to save Curry's legs a bit now, but Steph is the better passer/play maker.
