Same contract status for each........a free agent after next year. Two years apart in age. I like both but a slight edge to Brown.
I'll go against the grain and say Siakam. I think he can do more and would cost less. And for no reason I can point to, I think Brown would be a lot less likely to re-sign with the Blazers
Also went Siakam. I like that we then go dame, Sharpe, Grant, pascal. Bigger than brown at the 3, Grant still at the 4
jaylen brown would cost us shaedon sharpe and thats simply something im not willing to do, as brown isnt really the guy to make us a contender hes a great player and he can make a boston celtics (without brown, theyre one piece away from contending and brown happens to be that piece) team a contender, but not our team thats nowhere near contending
lakers were nowhere near contending just couple months ago, they look to be now bubble suns from missing playoffs to nba finals next year kings from years of irrelevancy to making noise this year IF they can do it, why can't the blazers? I agree, I don't want to trade sharpe too. Ant+other non dame players+picks. Who can we get? Depends on who fizzles in the playoffs and becomes available and how lucky we get in the lottery.
Cant vote. If it wasnt a trade idea, then id say brown, but without knowing the costs, this is a silly question. its like asking whether id like to have a Ferrari or a BMW. I likely cant afford either….but of course id prefer the Ferrari, but if i can get the BMW for the same as a dodge dart, then i want the BMW. If i have to pay as much for the BMW as I do for the Ferrari, then I want the Ferrari. So the only answer to the OP is a question. How much for each? Price dictates everything.
I feel like Siakam is a better defender. Brown is a wonderful scorer. But, to me, Siakam has a more all around game.
Interesting that in the 17 games those two played against each other, their rebounds, points and assists are almost identical.
