You may have seen this in other forums. You answer a true or false question about the Jazz in the post above yours, with an explanation as to why you choose either true or false. After your explanation choose a true or false question of your own regarding the Jazz. T/F: The Jazz win the Northwest division in the 2006-2007 season.
False, even with all Jazz players healthy and even if Boozer, D-Will, Ak-47, and Okur all have breakout years, they can't get past the Denver Nuggets, the Nuggets are loaded at every position(K-Mart, Nene, Andre Miller, Melo, Marcus Camby, J.R. Smith, and even pursuing Bonzi Wells), even though they are a thick headed group, they are one of the scarier team of the West. T/F: Reggier Brewer takes over the starting SG spot midway through the season?!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KS1:</div><div class="quote_post">T/F: Reggier Brewer takes over the starting SG spot midway through the season?!</div> True, Ronnie Brewer will get on Sloan's good side by then and him & D-Will will dominate T/F: Paul Milisap gets significant minutes this year?
False. Paul Millsap is a rookie, and Jerry Sloan isn't known for playing his rookies. The Jazz already have an established rebounding frontcourt, with Boozer (8.6 RPG), Okur (9.1 RPG, good enough for 14th in the NBA) and Kirilenko (8.0 RPG). However if Boozer gets another big injury, Millsap should see some increased minutes. T/F: Carlos Boozer has more minutes at C than PF?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stockton:</div><div class="quote_post">T/F: Carlos Boozer has more minutes at C than PF?</div> False: Boozer will play along side Okur and Collins a lot, and he'll be more effective as a PF.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">T/F: Dee Brown will get sent down to the NBDL?</div> True: Dee Brown just doesn't fit here, so he'll be there for awhile. T/F: Utah is the top team in the Northwest division?
False--Last year they got beat by Nuggets and I just dont see them beating Denver this year.. True/False-- Ronnie Brewer will be ROTY
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Umair15:</div><div class="quote_post">True/False-- Ronnie Brewer will be ROTY</div> False: Sloan doesn't play rookies right away. T/F: Utah wins 50 games this year?
False: I see the Jazz only winning about 47 games this year and sneaking in as the 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs. T/F: Sloan will finally win Coach of the Year?
False-- Too many great coaches are ahead of him. Like Pat Riley.. D'Antoni. Avery Johnson. And Popovich. T/F-- Kirilenko will win DPOY
False. Kirilenko is capable, but he simply can't get any injuries that force him to sit out an extended period of time if he is to win it. Given his recent run with injuries, that's a big ask. Even if he can stay healthy for the whole season, he has to beat players such as Ben Wallace in the voting. T/F: If the Jazz miss out on the playoffs this season, either Kevin O'Connor or Carlos Boozer leaves (or both)?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stockton:</div><div class="quote_post">T/F: If the Jazz miss out on the playoffs this season, either Kevin O'Connor or Carlos Boozer leaves (or both)?</div> False: Utah is a good bench away from being a contender. I think O'Connor is safe, the person I'm worried about is Jerry Sloan, his methods just don't work that good anymore.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KS1:</div><div class="quote_post">No question was asked... T/F: Deron Williams will average 15+ pts and 7 assists per game?!</div> OOPS.....that's 2nd time I've done that True: I think Deron Williams will have a big season, 18 & 8 IMO.....he's out to prove the "Chris Paul is better" guys wrong T/F: 65 games with both Boozer and Kirilenko in lineup?
T: Its all wishful thinking...but if we can just have them both play 65 games together, we'll get 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs...thats all we need!!! T/F: Ronnie Brewer making First Team All Rookies?!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KS1:</div><div class="quote_post">T/F: Ronnie Brewer making First Team All Rookies?!</div> True: I just have an odd feeling that Sloan will like Brewer because he can play defense, only thing I'm worried about is his decision making. I was watching highlight they had of him on draft night again and he was doing tons of passes that would get picked in the NBA. T/F: Fisher leads Utah in 3 Point FG's?
True: The Jazz haven't had a reliable outside shooting threat from beyond the arc on their roster since Jeff Hornacek. Fisher isn't a guard that is going to break you down off of the dribble, so I assume the majority of his points are going to come from making 3 pointers. T/F: The Jazz make a significant trade before the trading deadline (someone in their regular rotation is dealt)?
False. The Jazz don't have much in the way of trade bait, that they'd be willing to trade. Other teams may be interested in Boozer, but Utah will have a hard time finding an offer they're willing to accept for him. Gordan Giricek could be traded, but it may leave the Jazz with problems at shooting guard. T/F: Memo Okur averages 20 and 10 next season?
Yes, IF Boozer(sick inside game) is healthy, Ak-47 continues slashing and stays healthy, and we find a reliable outside shooter in Williams and Fisher...Okur is going to get plenty of looks... T/F: Rafael Araujo is going to play some "meaningful" minutes for us?! Not just at the end of blowout games...
