Please don't even compare Shaun Livingston to Milt Palacio in any aspects of his game again :P

No love for Robert Swift? Mark my word. He'll be one of the few true centers who can actually make a difference in a game in the next few years. Book it.

I mean this is a NON racist way, but you can bet that Swift is being labelled a bust because he's white. Tall white Americans are usually stiffs in this league.

SUpersonic, no love for Dorell Wright [IMG] I think he'll be pretty good in the future.

I think he'll have a good future, if Eddie Jones isn't included in that.

PG- Wade
SG- Wright
SF- Butler
PF- Odom
C- Blount/Grant

Just wanna note that 12 mill is alot for some1 to come off the bench.

I wasn't sure who to put for that. I might change it to Josh Smith actually, he has gotten by on athleticism so far, can't do that in the NBA.

I don't have anything against him being white. It's the fact that he's only faced high school competition and didn't even attend any workouts that scares me about him.

Sorry that's not a reference to people picking him in this, it's just that I've heard so many people pick him to bust since the draft. I think if he was black he'd be getting a lot more hype, but that's just a personal opinion and not racially motivated. It's more to the point that so many big white guys have turned out to be stiffs.

Rookies

Dorrell Wright will be better than Sebastian Telfair and Josh Smith.

Miami will have most athletic lineup in the league in two years. [IMG] Give Dorrell some time to develop. He's in the perfect organization with young stars around him.

Ben Gordon will be a good player if he can avoid the motorcycles in Chicago. Solid player 1-2 combo. People doubting if he can run the point in the NBA. Gee, sounds familiar! (hint:D-Wade)

Al Jefferson looks too strong to be a bust. But who really knows with the high schoolers.

That's a possibility, but I think it may be because his lack of skills. Swift is just a good athlete, with a decent shot. From what I have read he is too easily pushed around and too quick to jump on shot fakes. I see him as a less athletic Keon Clark.

It's like 14 million, both him and Grant will soon be making 14 million to sit on the bench.

Question about Robert Swift, can he shoot the J? Cause if he can he may be like Rik Smits. But a better rebounder and shot blocker. Smits wasn't really to good at those things for a 7'4 guy.

No you are correct Rim-Rocca he will be considered a rookie, it's sort of like he was red-shirted last year.

My Picks

Rookie most likely to....Become the Rookie of the year:
Emeka Okafor - nobody on Charlotte getting in the way of his touches, and he does have a chip for going #2
Rookie most likely to....Average 20 points a game:
Ben Gordon - best scorer of the draft
Rookie most likely to....Average 10 rebounds a game:
Emeka Okafor - no other bigs on CHA to outrebound him
Rookie most likely to....Average 10 dimes a game:
Devin Harris - in the uptempo Dallas O, and I think he's quite a player
Rookie most likely to....Average 5 fouls a game:
Pavel Podkolzin - Big, not too athletic, awkward, and will go for a lot of shot blocks
Highschooler most likely to succeed:
Dwight Howard - seems like a grounded person, and you don't go #1 for nothing (even Kwame)
International player most likely to succeed:
Peter John Ramos - just got a feeling about him, and EG has great history with 2nd rounders
Darko Milicic award (Lottery selection most likely to get bench splinters, and unwarranted criticism for not playing despite the fact his team has repeatedly stated he's a project):
Shaun Livingston - I don't know why people expect so much of him this season, he's small, weak, would get pushed around if he starts. Elgin said a "year, year and a half, maybe a season", but I think it will be more like 2 and a half. And hopefully Mike Dun will know that it'll help them more to bench him than start him.
Leon Smith Award (Highschooler who will most likely fade into obscurity):
J.R. Smith - seems to be a career jump shooter, made a name with those long bombs in the Mickey D's game
Paul Pierce Award (Player who slipped and has a chip on their shoulder):
Luol Deng - wasn't he predicted to go #3 the day before the draft?
