Six surgeries for Joakim Noah in his career. Six rehabs.

At this point, nobody can argue that Phil Jackson was smart by investing so much in a broken-down body last summer. But what’s done is done. Noah is on this roster with $55 million remaining on his contract, and he understands his new role is coming off the bench.

“That’s probably what it’s going to be,” Noah said. “Right now we have a lot of talented players at my position. That’s just the reality. So it’s about being as supportive as possible, and then when my number’s called going out there and making an impact.”
