Juve Bid For Lampard
Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco is in London to present Chelsea with an offer for Frank Lampard, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 29-year-old midfielder is ready to quit Chelsea after the recent departure of Jose Mourinho and would like a fresh challenge in a foreign country.
Juventus unsuccessfully tried to lure Lampard to Turin last summer but with his contract expiring in 2009, the Bianconeri would only need to fork out around £9m to get their man.
Lampard has worked with Claudio Ranieri before, during their time together at Stamford Bridge, and indeed it was the Tinkerman who really launched Lampard’s career after signing him from West Ham in 2001.
The Gazzetta believes that Lampard is willing to take a cut in wages, from €6m a year to €5m in order to facilitate the move. The prolific midfielder’s Spanish girlfriend is also said to be keen to move abroad, and Italy would be the perfect environment.
Juventus have been badly missing a powerful central midfielder since the loss of Patrick Vieira and Emerson following the Calciopoli crisis in 2006.
Portuguese midfielder Tiago Mendes was brought in from Lyon in the summer in a bid to fill this gap but he has been hugely disappointing thus far and has started just one Serie A game.

Lampard is either going to Italy or Spain, there's no doubt about it. He will likely either go to Juventus orBarcelona (because of his wife).

I think a move to Barça wouldn't be a good career choice. I think he'd become a key piece to their midfield, but it would force another player to lose minutes and Barça's midfielders have been at the club for years. I don't think that would be a good morale choice in the end. Juventus could really use him, especially with Tiago not getting any playing time. He's pretty pissed, but if you ask me, he's an idiot for leaving OL to begin with so nuts to him.

I donno, Drogba has been coming off to the media and many fans as an egomaniac because of his comments. In truth, he's a pretty down-to-Earth person and isn't the typical footballer. If he leaves Chelsea that club is going to fall under for a while I bet. He's their key piece right now along with Lampard, Terry and Joe Cole. I think Joe Cole will likely be out soon as well.

Meh, who cares? Chelski had this coming. I'd like to see this type of collapse happen to more big clubs.

I see him going to Juve,Milan,Lyon since other big teams like Barca,Inter,Madrid are already full of talent, they have serious talent sitting on the bench as we speak.

Not going to happen with Milan. I don't think any Englishman will head there with Berlusconi at the helm. Lyon could be an option and he would give the French Ligue an even bigger boost to help up their monster TV contract value even more.

Nobody trusts the guy and I know I wouldn't. His type of persona will chase away many prospective players from Milano.

QUOTE (CelticKing)

In a few words, they're in a big mess. Not a good time for the fans.

Relax, things have been worse. anyway i wont belive this unless its officially announced or Lampard says he is going to leave.

The Juve guy is in London talking to Chelsea.
And it has been rumored before as well that Lampard was leaving this season.
