If KAT becomes available what would you be willing to give up? Simons and Collins?

It would likely have to be a boat load with multiple 1st round picks. The question then becomes does he provide enough for what it would cost and pretty much every team will likely be monitoring the situation so a team will likely have to pay a premium. I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan and loved Herschel Walker but what the Vikings gave the Cowboys made them a 3 time super bowl champion and Vikings in mediocracy for awhile.

It's gonna be a damn sight more than those two. KAT could be the best big in the game if he wanted to.

All I'm seeing is that Minnesota loses trades involving superstars.

    Works for me.

At minimum you're looking at Nurk/Simons/CJ

You would def. trade for KAT. That's a no-brainer IMHO. He has MVP potential. Strong potential. I love Nurk but they aren't in the same category. Give them anything but Dame.

How far would a Kat and Dame team go with very little depth though? An example would be New Orleans with Davis and Holiday.

He has MVP potential like Shareef Abdur Rahim did.

Come on man....... Shareef was a tweener who was too slow to be a small forward and too small to be a power forward.

If i had the uncomfortable position of a GM?

    Whatever 2-3 players they want.
    No 1st round draft picks.
If they want Dame they can't have Simons.

Look at what LA had to give up for Davis. That would be similar.

Some Lakers fans didn't want to give up Brandon Ingram for Anthony Davis either.

Simons,Nurk,Nassir and 2-3 firsts must be the minimum we ll need to give up.

I suppose the would also like CJ to get assets by trading him

I would assume CJ, Collins, and multiple 1st would have to be on the table to begin discussions.

doubt they would be in the cj market. expiring whiteside, simmons, collins, little and unprotected first. or drop one of the three on rookie contracts and three firsts with protections.
nurk, bazemore, ,collins, simmons, little and 2 unprotected firsts for KAT and dieng. personally not liking this second scenario, but minnesota probably bites on this package if they are set on trading him. Kat is under contract for 4 more seasons. vanterpoole is their coach and might value the relationships he already has established with everyone outside of little and the expiring bazemore. all except bazemore are former 1st round picks. so 1 late lottery, 2 late round firsts and the surprise that is the unprotected firsts, and cap relief for KAT and the additional years and salary of dieng

No, he doesn't play defense, he's weak mentally and he's not a winner. Price tag is way too high for someone who wouldn't make the team better. Comparing him to AD is ridiculous.

I would not pay the price suggested in this thread to acquire KAT. Not worth it.
