<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Sacramento Kings on Tuesday traded forward Keon Clark and two future second-round draft picks to the Utah Jazz for one future second-round pick, The Bee has learned.

The cost-cutting move will save the Kings approximately $5 million from the 2003-04 payroll. However, it leaves the Kings with only 10 players under contract for next season. The cost-cutting move will allow the Kings some cap room to go after free agent guard Jim Jackson.

Clark started in 11 of the 80 games he played for Sacramento, averaging 6.7 points per game and 5.60 rebounds per game.

Utah will be Clark's fourth team since entering the NBA as the 13th overall pick by Denver in the 1998 draft. He was traded to the Toronto Raptors after two and a half seasons with the Nuggets.</div>

Wow, nice move by the Jazz. Keon is exactly what they needed and it will be a block fest with him and AK47 on the same team. They also get some future picks and only have to give up a 2nd rounder for him.

What a rip off. They have no Webber for the first part of the year. Then they trade Keon and two future pick for one future second round pick. I dont get this trade at all. I no it frees up some cap space for Jim Jackson but they only have 10 players. I m sure they could have done better.

It would have been a great move if it were a first round pick, but oh well.

y didn't they trade keon to the magic for that. keon helps the team, but they still won't make playoffs.

    spartanfan, it's only a 2nd rounder, so it won't be a future #1 pick.

too bad philly couldn't work the sign and trade deal they had to acquire keon. i'm surprised atlanta didn't make a move in getting keon, so they could then trade ratliff to the knicks and re-sign terry.

One of the best trade for 1 team in a couple of years. Keon Clark could explode this year with a starting job and a new setting just like T-Mac did when he went to the magic.

    Jason Terry to the jazz?

All the jazz need is Jason Terry to run the point and they might have a possibility of making the playoffs

That was one great trade for Utah, they're offseason wasn't so bad now. Now they need to try get Jason Terry. He could play PG or SG, wherever he's needed. But what were Sacramento thinking, unless they were trying to get cap space they must of gone crazy. I mean Keon Clark and 2 second round picks for one second round pick [IMG] . That was a great trade by Utah [IMG] . While the Kings are at it why not Peja for Greg Ostertag?

i know [IMG] i think the Kings need Keon Clark more than they need Jimmy Jackson. CWebb is basically their only PF now.
