God Damn. Awsome preview. Also the 3-1 sweep shouldn't really be taken into account because after the trade we played one game, which we won but the sonics were injured. After the trade we have also been a totally different team. Our backcourt holds the advantage over the sonics simply because Bibby will run Ridnour ragged. Not that Ridnour isn't any good, hes great. But hes inexperienced and Bibby is Mr Clutch he will step up best believe. Also Peja really needs to try to hustle the boards. Rashard Lewis is a great hustler so peja needs to try and shut him out. Fortson and Evans worry me because they are beast on the boards so we will have to try and stop thim. These two are IMO the greatest threat because we are pretty bad at rebounding. Anyways GO KINGS!
Down 15 after the first half of game 1. That was the most poorly executed offensive half of basketball that I have ever seen in all of my years as a Kings fan. There was not ball movement and the Kings could not throw the ball into the ocean. Bibby went 0 for 9 and made some very poor decicions and the Sonics took advantage of it. The good news is that we are not totally out of it and can get back into it if they play like they can. Somebody please... grab a freakin defensive rebound!!! Second half is about to start. We can only hape that the kings can snap out of it. On the good side, Peja has 16. The Kings need to pick up their scoring or this will be a short series.
Hoepfully this will extend to a 7 games series b/c i thnk this is like the best match up in the West....It should be close... Btw,2nd quarter looked like a replay of the Boston-Indy game...haha...
what is mike bibby thinking??????? firing up a 32 foot 3 with 10 seconds to go and they had the ball?????? come on!!!!!!!! hes 1 for 15 and he chucks it up????? terrible!!!!!!!! Bibby cost us the game tonight.
Ussually bibby and bobby jackson are reliable. Bibby primarily used to play really well. He went 1-16 nightmare today . is it just me or has his playing form become terrible. He must b geting old
Became a close game at the end.All it really looks like to me is that they caught Bibby on his worst game ever.
if bibby can snap out of it in game 2, the kings will win it for sure. the kings showed that if they shoot decently they can win and i believe that they will come out a house afire and take game 2.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GiantMidget:</div><div class="quote_post">Became a close game at the end.All it really looks like to me is that they caught Bibby on his worst game ever.</div> worst game in his professional career for sure.
Aside from Bibby and Jackson shooting a combined 1/23,Peja SHOWED UP! Anyone whos been following the kings in recent years knows that Peja goes into hybernation come playoff time. Not the case in this game. All bias aside,if Peja continues to play the way he normally does i think the Kings will take this series even being down 0-1.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting sactomofo:</div><div class="quote_post">the kings showed that if they shoot decently they can win and i believe that they will come out a house afire and take game 2.</div> but Seattle shot even worse than the Kings. Bibby will bounce back though, he's the guy you have to worry about the least. I'm hoping for another Dallas-Sacramento or Phoenix-Sacramento matchup, fun to watch.
i agree with all of you.. aside of bibby and bobby... we did good.. just start rebounding... get some defense in there.. and make some shots.. we got the series greg played great to tell all of u ostertag haters
The Kings are going to need Bibby to lead them, if he continues to play the same way as he did in Game 1 they might get sewpt.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Silky Smooth:</div><div class="quote_post">The Kings are going to need Bibby to lead them, if he continues to play the same way as he did in Game 1 they might get sewpt.</div> Bibby won't have another game like that and I still believe that the Kings will take this series in 6. BTW; The biggest surprise of this game from the Kings point of view (aside from bibby) was the great play of Greg Ostertag. He might be the difference in the series if Miller is unable to log major minutes. Hopefully the Kings will get healthy and take this series in 6.
