If true the blazers front court is going to be solid in years to come.

Imagine the interior defense with Randolph and Curry.

Pass on this deal, especially since Zach is due over $60 million in the next 4 years.

    I really like this trade.
Let?s look at it at this way.

We get rid of francis who didn?t help last season and has an ugly contract.
We get a really good offensive post player in Randolph who gets 10 rebounds a game (a lot more than Frye)

Defense hasn?t change because francis and Frye didn?t play good defense too.

So... I really love this trade.

Normally I would argue, but Isiah has a good track record.

We all hated the Balkman pick, but he proved us all wrong. Balkman was an excellent pick and he outplayed some players in the lottery. He was actually more efficient than Adam Morrison. Balkman is a much better fit than Marcus Williams would be for us.

Wilson Chandler, welcome to New York.

It's uncertain. I honestly don't know if Lee is going to be on the Knicks now.

Knicks should trade Curry. I would take Randolph-Lee over Curry-Randolph.

Why trade Curry? He's a 20-point center who just ranked 1st in points in the paint and is top 5 in free throw attempts last season. I would couple Randolph and Curry to form one of the best offensive post duos in the league. I think Z-Bo compliments Curry well. He can shoot (and has good range for a big) and rebound well. The only big problem is defense and that huge contract. But he averaged 24/10 last season so he definitely worked for his price tag. We also got Fred Jones and Dickau who are expiring this year. They are not big, but they they are players nonetheless. It's definitely an interesting trade when you really look at it. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it works out for both teams.

Also, good luck to Channing Frye and Steve Francis (if they don't buy him out) in Portland.

I think this is a very good move for the Knicks. True their post defence hasn't improved much but I do think its improved..Frye wasn't much in the paint and he got bullied around on the boards. At least this way Randolph and Curry will collectively take up 1/2 the paint with sheer mass and they can pretty much bully any team in the east down low. I think this is a really, really good move.

If you think Francis' contract is ugly, then what is ZR's contract? Knicks trade a bad contract for a worse contract. The defense does change because ZR will get major minutes at a front court position that already has Eddy Curry's lacking defense in play right next to him. Teams are going to be able to go inside all day.

I don't get this trade from either end, I hope they don't expect Franchise to be the PG to get Oden the ball and what do they expect to do with Frye? The Knicks just got the fattest frontcourt in all the league (it will bring in a Kripsy Kreme sponsorship at least) don't improve their frontcourt D but at least they get more scoring, right? Well I said before that they needed to get rid of either Marbury/Francis but I'm not sure if getting ZR exactly fixes that problem.
