He puts on a nice act to the media making him seem all collected and cool about game 7 and comes out shooting what, 3-14 in the first half? What a joke. Here goes his legacy if we don't win this. If we somehow do win this game with him playing so bad give the MVP to Ron Artest. He doesn't deserve it. What a fucking joke. Cheers to him redeeming (hopefully) himself in the 2nd half!
He had an ugly (even for Kobe) 1st quarter but played better the 2nd. Whats also annoying is Pau and his sudden need to get 10+ assists. You got an open shot, take it you buffoon.
Yall make me laugh. We just won a championship. Great team performance. Every guy contributed including Kobe even though he shot horribly. I love this team more than ever now. p.s. Hannah Storm is on fire!
+1 I wish they awarded co-MVPs, would've liked Pau to get more recognition as well. I was so nervous after the first half / beginning of the third quarter haha. Our guys showed a lot of heart fighting back to win this game. Major props to all of them, this was definitely a team effort. Kobe had a horrible shooting night, but I'll give him lots of credit for crashing the boards and getting his teammates involved. This topic was made out of frustration and anxiety haha
Thanks Lost, deep down I think you understand what I've been saying for a while now. I appreciate it.
No problem man. I'm glad for Kobe, I think overall he was our best player this series. But I was very disappointed in him tonight. Thank the lord for everybody else stepping up. Pau Gasol was a gift from the basketball gods!!!
Sasha put the game on ice. Kobe had a rough night last night. ROUGH. He was pressing for the first 3 1/2 quarters. But he never lost belief in himself and when it came to those last 5 minutes he delivered the shots that put the Lakers ahead and his supporting cast delivered. This is what makes him the best in the game. Ron Artest had his "John Paxson" "Steve Kerr" moment draining the 3 pointer after Kobe kicked out to him from a double.
You almost had it Shape. Kobe didn't shoot well in this series, and he didn't close out games either. These arguments are pretty bad man. Kobe shot ~29% in the fourth quarter for the entire series. .
LOL Did you watch the game bro? Kobe changed the entire momentum of the game in the Final 9 minutes and after the Lakers called that timeout. He scored 10 points in the 4th quarter and after hitting the 17 foot jumper Boston never led again. The crowd went nuts after that shot and the defensive intensity elevated.
Shape if you don't give a shit then you can't support your position. ;] Your response is "LOL watch the game". It is clear to anyone Kobe was poor throughout the fourth quarters of this series.
Only in your eyes. Kobe struggled shooting the ball, but he found other ways to contribute. His Championship demeanor never faltered. I'm laughing at you because you want to view and nitpick his game at a micro level instead just enjoying the Lakers winning title number 16. That's why I don't care about checking Kobe's $tats. If Kobe goes 0-30 and the Lakers still win that's all I'm concerned with.
"He [Kobe Bryant] won with defense and rebounding and hustle. He won on guts and will, carried by a trust in his teammates we never knew ran so deep."
