Wlodarczyk stops Fragomeni In a clash for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title, WBC #1 rated Krzysztof “Diablo” Wlodarczyk (43-2-1, 32 KOs) scored an eighth round TKO over WBC #2 Giacobbe Fragomeni (26-3-1, 10 KOs) to claim the belt formerly held by Zsolt Erdei on Saturday night at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland. The Polish star Wlodarczyk dropped the 40-year-old Fragomeni with a big right hand at the end of round six, but the rugged Italian showed no lingering effects in the following round. However, in round eight Wlodarczyk jumped all over Fragomeni and dropped him again. Referee Frank Garza then waved off the fight.
