Lakers get a full 5 days of rest, or at least no games. Should do wonders for Kobe/Pau/Lamar and the rest of them. Can't wait for Thursday though, hopefully this time the results will be different.

If Magic, it's seven and a win.
    Cavs..probably 6 games.

While Houston series I doubted, if this team was ready. They are ready, you can tell it by last night's game, and the trophy celebrations xD

I was flying on Virgin America during the game last night. Each seat has its own TV screen and everyone was going nuts with every Laker basket. Very cool experience watching the team advance on a plane ride with a group of Laker fans. I was really proud of the execution last night. Everyone was focused and hitting their shots. The Triangle was in full force and the defense picked it up on the interior. Kobe was dialed into this game and looked like a General out there commanding the guys to put the foot on Denver's throat and end this series. It would be great if the NBA gave access to every player they wire so you can watch them and listen throughout a game.

VA is a great airline, a model basically for the other national airlines of US.

Back to the finals, if it's the Magic, I personally think it'll be much easier for the Lakers, if it's the Cavs, you have no one to defend LeBron, you'll still beat them but a much tougher series.

I want the Magic to win tonight though for the simple fact that LeBron is an arrogant son of a bitch. lol

Either opponent is going to be tough. Magic handled us pretty easily in the regular season and they've shown the ability to win close games and also shoot themselves out of huge deficits. Dwight Howard's post game has improved in every series and if they have the 3 point game going they are hard to beat.

The Cavs have Lebron and a versatile front line. The Lakers size advantage won't be as dominant against Cleveland and the Cavs get after the offensive glass. If the Lakers struggled to keep Denver off the offensive glass, we could have real issues against Cleveland.

An advantage the Lakers will have is watching a lot of game footage from this series to breakdown the weaknesses and areas they can exploit. When we beat Cleveland both times the Lakers forced Cleveland's bigs to make outside shots, similar to the strategy against Denver forcing KMart to make those corner jumpshots.

Like I posted in another thread Cleveland has really exposed Orlando's vulnerabilities. They don't transition well from offense to defense and they struggle to defend the high pick & roll. Dwight Howard has also been foul prone throughout the playoffs and it will be tough for him to defend two capable post scorers in Gasol & Bynum.

I don't think Orlando "handled" us pretty easily.

They shot lights out and got two great games from Jameer Nelson. Even if he does play, he won't have a major impact. Orlando will live and die by that three pointer. Carmelo and Artest both killed us, but we made the proper adjustments to stop them from being effective. The same will happen to Orlando. Dwight can't stop Pau, Odom, and Bynum. He can only lock down one. 3 post threats > Dwight.

Cleveland seems easier to me, TBH. I'm not worried about LeBron. We shut him down twice this year. We were down 10 at halftime in our game at Cleveland, and came back to win that one pretty easily and we handled them here in LA. They can't stop all 4 of our threats. If they focus on Kobe, Pau will eat up Varajeo. If they focus on Pau, Kobe will go to work all day.

I think either way it is over in 5 or 6 for us. This team isn't being stopped this year. Not after the pain they felt last year.

Well it looks like it's going to be Orlando they lead by 18 points at halftime.

    Looks like Orlando.

With this loss, there is more legitimacy to Lebron becoming available in 2010. If Cleveland can't get past Orlando again next year, I'd say the odds are in favor of Lebron leaving. If the Magic cannot only win the East this year, but win the championship, and then repeat next year, it has to be about 99.9% chance Lebron leaves Cleveland, as it's not going to get any easier to beat Dwight Howard.

If he leaves, I'd put the odds at 90% Miami, 9.99999999% Chicago, some miniscule percent for New York.

Couldn't love the outcome of this any better. Too bad Orlando didn't sweep them. But it's only an 11 point game, and you know Lebron's going to have a big half...so Cavs still might pull this series out.

Phil is going to outcoach SVG! Actually it's gonna be a tough series, since we have homecourt advantage, we ough to win game 1, and you know what then happens.

    No more puppets, sad :(
