And afraid to shoot the ball at the end of the game; i don't care how many shots you miss during the game; if you are the go-to guy on the team; keep shooting! Those were probably the most discouraging moments for me in the whole game.
I have never considered him our best player (or second-best when Roy was here). I don't know who that is, but it isn't him. On any night, it can be any of our top players. He may the most talented, but he isn't the best. He does so little with all that ability. Ultimately I blame McMillan, because in any organization, it's the boss' job to get people to perform, and McMillan seems content with Aldridge.
I don't know if the big minutes is affecting the starters. Maybe Nate should try playing the bench more minutes. Smith in particular. Let LA give us more quality and less quantity.
LMA is putting up 22/8 home and away. It's Gerald Wallace sucking on the road that is affecting this team negatively right now.
There's no excuse for 3 defensive rebounds in 47min of play. That is borderline pathetic with no Camby in there. He's playing like a damn SF. He can think he's Batman all he wants, but he's flat out wrong. Being the best player on the team doesn't make you a Batman. It just means you're the best player on the team. He'll always be Robin.
LMA has a PER of 22.6, next on the team among major minute players is Batum at 17.6, and you're bashing on LMA? He's the one player on the team who is bringing it every single night. You used to crush Roy, and now LMA is your latest scapegoat. Strange.
Yeah and I posted something about Aldridge should get more rebounds and many of these same posters told me Aldridge is there to score not rebound. Weird that now theres some change in this philosophy.
With Camby out we need Aldridge to step up and rebound more than ever. I liked Batum's 8 rebounds last night.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/bycategory?cat=Fielding&conference=NBA&year=season_2011&sort=34&qualified=1 Wow!
LMA had 10 rebounds last night. If you're expecting him to get 15 rpg with Camby out, that's unrealistic, IMO.
Does PER accurately reflect his sorry ass rebounding numbers? No. Besides, I don't hold PER as the be-all, end-all stat like everyone else. People in the past have tried to say that Rudy Gay is no better than Outaw and that Wesley Matthews is no better than Webster because they had similar PER's, and look how that turned out. Anyways, he needs to step it up. 3 defensive rebounds in 47min last night is sad. Batman averages more than 5 defensive rebounds a game.
Channing Frye, who averages 24 minutes per game, is averaging more defensive rebounds per game than Aldridge STEP IT UP
I was supporting your argument btw. Lma is 12th in offensive rebounding. And is only 1 rebound away from being in the top 5. I think good offensive rebounding is much harder than defensive rebounding. This is why I like rhino. He can help out Aldridge a lot.
