It was eight years ago when a skinny and heralded forward named LaMarcus Aldridge would arrive for Trail Blazers practices to find that in the NBA, another day brought another battle. Waiting for him was another Trail Blazers player, a hardened, determined and eager player called Zach Randolph. "The thing you have to understand,'' said Nate McMillan, the coach of the Blazers in 2006, "is that Zach loved to practice. He loved to play.'' They would go at it. The kid against the star. And as the year wore on, neither could claim an upper hand over the other. http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...atchups_lamarcus_aldridge.html#incart_m-rpt-1
I remember that Zach Randolph was convinced that we were going to draft Kevin Durant and play a frontline of Durant-Randolph-Aldridge. Ah, what might have been. Having said that, I think bouncing around the league for a while did Zach the world of good. He certainly learned how to play defense, which he might not have been forced to do.
Zach got better after bombing in New York. He really grew up as a person. LA would never be the LA of today playing third fiddle to Durant and Randolph... in a way, all three players are better because they didn't play together.
I wish LMA can have a career like zbo has it seems like zbo has team advance past the first round all the time. He even has a conference finals appearance
It would be better to do a little research before you say such things. Zbo has had very few years where he was successful in the playoffs. I would hope LaMarcus does better than that.
Man, yall getting played by this guy. Look at his posting history...I'm not sure they are even a Blazer fan. Seems more likely they are a butthurt rockets fan trying to spread BS on these forums because they can't get over last years loss. At least their negative posts aren't strictly aimed at Lillard anymore...
