So I need a new laptop and I see this deal on bestbuy.com that appears to be pretty resonable.

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9027698&type=product&id=1218010578770

What do you guys think? I'm trying to find a laptop under $500 and this seems like the perfect deal. Although I see the same one on HP.com and I think it has some free upgradable options on there? Let me know what you guys think as I will probably pick this up in-store tonight.

Also does anyone know of any other laptop deals?

What do you plan on using it for? If you're not going to be doing anything out of the ordinary, just get the cheapest one available. I bought a 400 dollar laptop a couple years ago and the thing still runs as good as it did day one.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

And yes I probably will just be using this laptop for basic things. Downloading, watching streaming video, light gaming, and writing papers. My Bestbuy still has this deal going on, but is currently sold out. I'll probably pick this thing up once they get it in. If anyone knows of any other laptop deals feel free to post them here.

I used to have a Compaq Presario and it was pretty slow and inefficient. This one looks good though, and the price is good. You said you'll be using it for light gaming but i don't know if it will even play any of the newer games.

Really, what are the specs required for new games? A few years back I had a Compaq Presario 2500 and it worked fine. Although it didn't get hot, which I HATED.

Which of the specs on this computer aren't good enough for gaming? The graphics card, or processor? I'm looking at WOW specs and it seems that it would run fine on this computer.
