Man.... such a good game. I was in the front row, right behind the Ducks bench. Seastrunk was like 5 feet in front me of with the other non-dressing players. Dude looks ready to rock some shit next season. One thing that struck me was how young all these guys look in person. Maehl looks like he's about 15 with that long hair. Barner has a sick mohawk. Another thing, I couldn't believe how loud it gets in there. We're talking an open stadium that gets as loud or louder than the Rose Garden during the playoffs. Pretty amazing. I have one complaint, they need more bathrooms. There's no reason I should have to use a port-a-potty in a stadium that nice. I really want to go back, but my seats won't be nearly as good haha
haha yeah it gets insanely loud. I still will never forget the first time I went in there, and the noise bounced off my ears like when you are driving on the freeway and one window gets rolled down. Glad you got a show for your first Autzen visit. You should hear that place in the 4th Quarter of a close game. I left last years game against Utah and my ears literally were mildly hurting. Crazy to think these dudes are just kids. Something we tend to forget in all this lol.
Some Duck fan you are. Lache Seastrunk is a freshman running back from Texas who runs a 4.4 40. He was a 5-star recruit--one of the top 5 RB's available--who was likely headed to USC until Pete Carroll bolted for Seattle. In short, he's a stud.
Summed it up pretty well. I'm sure recruits are loving these visits to the #1 Ducks at Autzen stadium. Even if they lose a few games this year (in my eyes unlikely) this year will be worth it alone in recruiting.
One of the Ducks more sought after recruits in a while.
One of our cameras caught Chip hanging and talking with a recruit right before the game started, must have been him.
He's already on the team. This is his freshman year. He might get to red-shirt this season, provided that we can keep him on the sidelines.
Thanks for sharing. Love the Autzen experience. Don't think I'll be able to take in any games this year (out of country) but I do plan on being either in Pasadena or AZ, baby!!
Yeah, he's already on the team. #15 baby! They don't really show all the non-dressed guys, but they were standing in the back. Seastrunk is the big lookin guy with the braids. He was one of the few guys who didn't look like he was 16 years old.
Dude can accelerate in the open field like non other. Maybe comparable to Bush's quickness when he was at USC.
I just don't know how they're going to use all these guys, especially if James doesn't go out for the NFL after this season... I mean.... James, Barner, AND Seastrunk? That's an awesome dilemma to have, but holy crap how do you keep them all happy?
Its possible. USC has been doing it for years. Unfortunately injuries usually come into play as well.
Plus Barner can get on the field more as a slot receiver. And he was a DB before playing as a RB last year after Blount was suspended iirc.
