Anyone else watching League Pass on an Apple TV? It worked last year, but last night I could see the game icon, but clicking on it to watch did nothing. I had to log into the computer and Airplay it to my TV, which didn't look great. As a side note, anyone using the new 4k Apple TV with League Pass?
It's prolly 'cause of that damn free preview. I had a problem with it on my Roku until I went into scheduled and hit the date and found our game there. It only went live at 10:13 PM or so. With the quality and consistency of the reddit streams, I'm really regretting paying for this clunky product.
I have hulu...works great. I can watch it live, record it if im not going to be home, or even rewind.
I got a 4K Apple TV and I watch it a lot. I think it is terrific. It has some drawbacks, like no 4K YouTube or Amazon Video (Amazon is coming real soon now). I bought NBALP yesterday through my TV provider and watched the game last night on their channel. There were two channels, one for each teams' announcers/feed. The Blazers feed was NBC affiliated. I didn't try the NBA app on the Apple TV though. I can try it, but I think it's going to work because I paid the cable company and not NBA directly. Before the Apple TV, I would watch streaming apps with the TV's built in apps. The TV's app store is limited in what you can get though. So I DVR the new fall shows I care about and when I see them recorded, I turn to the Apple TV and watch ABC shows on the ABC app, or watch latest episodes on Hulu. The difference between Frontier FIOS picture quality and streaming is considerable. The experience is much better using the streaming apps. I was going to start an OT/TECH thread about it, but this will do.
PS Vue is pretty damn great. Though the game has to complete for you to replay it. I really don't like that.
I actually know what is happening to your Apple TV and could help you fix it, it's very easy......first unpl.......OHHHHHHHH......... thats right, you have me on ignore. Nevermind, good luck.
I installed the NBA app on mine and after connecting the app to my Frontier account, I'm watching Toronto bury the Bulls.
That's just for replay, right? Like, it still live-streams the actual Blazers games? Sorry. Had SlingTV and loved it, but PSVue offered a better package, so I switched, but if there's an issue with my Blazers games, I'll switch back.
The other NBC Sports channels provides a couple different games each night. Combined with NBATV, TNT, and ESPN, I get my NBA fix for a $10 add-on instead of $200 for LP.
The games aren't streamed. It's the NBCNW channel. Last night I got home at about 8:30 p.m. the game was still on and I figured I could start it at the beginning. It didn't finish recording it until it was over so I couldn't start the game as it was playing. Maybe it was a mistake on my part but I didn't see any way to start at the beginning of the game when the game was still being played.
Gotcha. I watched the whole thing live from the start. Thought I was missing something. If I can't watch, and can't watch live, then I'd find the next alternative.
LP? What's great about the PS Vue is that all I have to do is choose NBA games as one of my shows and do that on each channel NBA games are played. So basically I get every single NBA game recorded and I can watch whatever.
Canceled league pass this year. We blew out opening game so apparently i was the jinx for the last 30 years. Ill just watch highlights and box scores this year. Im still salty about nba being warriors vs. The world so i didnt feel like giving them my money.
