Is there any chance to we win this game? LEONARD ON HOWARD VONLEH ON MILSAP i dont know if i watch the game or not. btw, its on TNT tonight so... its a national tv game. Hope the blazers can get a win
How's the Dwight technical situation this year? I know in the past, he's been near to the top of the league in getting T-ed up. Perhaps Meyers can coax a couple out of him to even the playing field a little. Has Nurkic officially been ruled out? It would be fun to see him match up against Dwight, even if for only a few minutes, in his Portland debut. BNM
I think Nurkic will probably be in uniform, but I doubt he plays unless it's a blowout orrrr Leonard gets in foul trouble
If he's allowed to be in uniform, that means he passed his physical and the trade has been approved. If so, why wouldn't they play him, even if it's only for a couple minutes? BNM
Leonard a gonna drop 31/14 tonight, Shaq will cream his jeans yelling "BABY SABONIS!", and we will never see him play meaningful minutes in a Blazer uniform again.
It's probably not fair to Nurkic to just throw him out there immediately unless they absolutely had to. He's probably had a real busy 24 hours, and you add not knowing any of the plays on top of it, I think ideally they'd hold him out.
the only way we win this game is if lillard and mccollum go off for at least 30 each to combat dwights 35+. why couldnt they have gotten rid of leonard...
It would not be unusual, or unreasonable, to put him on the floor for a few minutes in the second quarter to see how he does. The guy has enough natural talent to outplay any other big man on our roster. I'm not saying play him 36 minutes, but put him in for 3 or 4 minutes in the second quarter and see how he does. If he looks comfortable, bring him back for another short stint in the 3rd quarter or beginning of the 4th. The guy hasn't played since last Friday. These guys are used to playing back-to-back road games in different cities, 4 games in 5 nights or 5 games in 7 nights. Fatigue shouldn't be an issue. It will take a while to get comfortable with his teammates, but that's true whether he plays tonight, or not. So, why wait (assuming he's eligible)? BNM
Meyers has to be thrilled to start...I get the feeling he's been chanting....it wasn't me, it wasn't me, it wasn't me....since Mason left...if ever there was a big game for him to start in and make a statement....this is it. Throw him in the fire....then if he gets a triple doube....trade him quick!
Also, keep in mind the reason Nurkic was unhappy in DEN was a lack of playing time. He's a young player who WANTS to play. If he is eligible to play and doesn't get in the game, I think he will be a little disappointed. Not enough to put, but given the choice I think he'd rather play than not. BNM
He should remember how to run the weave from high school and everyone should know how to run a pick and roll.....so, he's ready.
Yeah, I was responding to a comment that he will probably be in uniform, but won't play. If he's in uniform, why not play him, at least for a few minutes? BNM
