Lets do this. GAME 3 THREAD BABY - thoughts and predictions and whos going?!?

I will be there but first let me say something. The amount that the tickets are going for on stubhub is ridiculous. My seats are going for $600 a piece, a PIECE and my face value is $133. It's moronic and a disgrace and it's going to keep some of the real fans out of the garden....anyways.

Thankfully I split season tickets with two other people and game 3 has fallen into my lap.


Now onto my thoughts.

Montreal came out very quick and determined in game 2 and hank stood on his head in that first period. The habs will go with Dusty T again in net and I personally think it's a good thing from a hockey standpoint.

We need to start out like there's a fire under our ass. I believe we will. I think this team is playing at such a level right now that is driven by emotion but is controlled so well by the professionalism of the athletes. That's what gives us the edge. Ultimately, this series is not over until we've won 4 games but I DO think we will win tomorrow night at the garden.

I think the fans are going to play a huge factor, I expect it to be a much closer game, low scoring more physical game that's going to be decided on special teams. So as long as pouliot stops being such an idiot we should be fine.

MY prediction - 2-1 rangers in overtime.

 

I now got a huge bargain for game 4. I paid $340 a pop last week, and now they are at least $100 more per ticket. Crazy stuff.

I am not really going to make a prediction for tonight. All I will say is this. We will get another very strong game from Montreal I believe. This is it for them. NO SHOT they come back from 3-0 down, and they know it, so they pour it all into tonight.

First home game of the ECF I expect the crowd to be crazy, and I would expect us to play well as well, and get a win, but we'll see.

The prediction I will make is IF we win tonight we will sweep in game 4 Sunday night. This is it for Montreal. I actually believe we win game 4 either way. We win tonight and Montreal pretty much checks out down 3-0 and we win game 4. We get beat tonight and I think we come out crazy in game 4 and take a 3-1 lead (I don't see us losing both home games again).

So we'll see how tonight goes. I would expect the fans to be crazy. The players to come out on fire. I fully believe we win game 4 either way. So to me tonight will tell me sweep, or a 5/6 game series at least.

I would love to get it done tonight. Give them no life. Come out early like they did in game 2 except get a few goals. Then I can go to game 4 and root for a sweep and say "we want the cup".

We'll see how tonight goes though. Won't be easy IMO. This is the last stand for the Habs...an L and they know they are done.

 

all I know is they better do something cool to counter the little kid skating around the Bell Center with the Olympic flame...we need to top that shit...get Grucci on the phone...call vince macmahon, we need some kind of ultra cool enterance to make sure that idiot knows what a loud building sounds like....

 

Say what you want, but that is a cool show the Habs have at the start. Gets the crowd pumped. And their anthem singer is good also. She gets them going.

Here is what I want...a win tonight so I can be there on Sunday when we accept the trophy for winning the East and get a little ceremony.

 

First ever shutout for my little guy last night on 47 shots, and he insisted on wearing his Lundqvist jersey instead of his teams jersey (also blue), so karma says Lundy posts a goose egg tonight. 3-0 Rangers....

 

The rain ce and suspended our game with us leading 8 to 1...now time for the boys in blue to take another step....lets go rangers.
